Why is my VPN not working on Firestick?

Hi all, I've been using a private VPN over a few months now and it has been working pretty flawlessly on my Firestick. It was the only app I'd even checked for it. I just installed it on my new Firestick and my connection is completely disconnected. I'm in Canada, in case that matters. I've tried a couple of times restarting the firestick and clearing my DNS but nothing. Can anyone help me out?
This really is an odd problem, as it's very unusual. Most people would not be connected when the problem arises, although that doesn't mean it's actually the problem, it could be anything (ie someone did the uninstall/reinstall). You might try running VLC and see if you get any error message at all (you might need to do that to see if the stream can start, I can't really say without seeing the situation).

If nothing else, please let me know if you've been connected previously. Hello. Please check to make sure this VPN provider works on your TV. If it's compatible, open Firestick Settings > System > Reset Network Settings.

You might also want to run a check on your router settings () so you have a good idea of whether your internet connection is actually being blocked by your provider. I thought it might be firewall, but I've checked for that. I can successfully connect to the web through it with my PC and my phone, so I know the settings are good.

My VPN is compatible with the firestick. It happens sometimes when I watch a movie and then turn it off (there is no error), I'll have to restart firestick and sometimes clear DNS before it will start again, and when it does start up normally it will only work for a few minutes and stop working again.
