What is Apisix used for?

Is Apisix based on NGINX?

Apisix is based on NGINX, a powerful open-source web server with advanced functionality such as http-gunzip, http-ssi, and so on.

However, Apisix is different from NGINX in that it does not use the HTTP protocol to handle traffic. It uses the TCP/IP protocol to handle traffic, and this improves performance. Apisix also supports SSL/TLS, but the SSL/TLS certificate is stored in the application itself. This means that it does not need to rely on the OS to store the certificate, which saves time.

However, the HTTP protocol uses the TCP/IP protocol to pass the request to the Apache server, while the TCP/IP protocol uses the TCP/IP protocol to handle the request and return the response. I currently have a small vps in my living room that is hosting 8 websites on it.

My main website has around 300k uniques, I run a forum which has 100k members, and two others are social network sites. Each is about 10k uniques a day. I have the latest apache, nginx, and mysql installed on it as well as php7, wordpress, and pgsql.

I think I might be using apisix for my domain, since it allows me to point the same domain to more than one site, and that seems very convenient. I also use Kong for the rest of my server needs, although I'm wondering if anyone would know of any benefits or downsides of choosing apisix over kong? Apisix is better than Kong? Apisix offers a bunch of things like CDN (cloudflare), HSTS preloading, HTTP/2 push support, CORS support (and I believe the latest iteration (not to be confused with. As for the drawbacks, I don't have a big sample set of articles to make a comparison between the two, but I can say that they are both very good at their job. So you can take your pick based on the features you require and the price/performance. And there's no reason to think they can't work well together as Kong supports AFAIK HTTP/2 push but ApiX doesn't.
