How do I put Netflix on my desktop?
Why can't I connect to the Internet with my phone/tablet?
I live outside the area in my parents' household that has Internet. I have a desktop computer and two smart phones/tablets with apps for the Internet. Recently, I was doing homework and couldn't figure out how to stream video or Netflix.
We have broadband cable service through Xfinity by Comcast. It is provided using the cable drop from the telephone pole right at the door. The phone company says I get 2 gigs per month which they advertise.
For all three of my devices, I can play Netflix videos fine. I also have a Roku running streaming apps and an external hard drive for downloading TV shows on the PC. My laptop and the phone aren't the same size so it makes no sense that all these have to be different ways to view the TV shows on the Netflix and Roku devices.
The phone is the Galaxy S10 running Android 9. The other device is a S8 Samsung Tizen that I am using to read the webpages on. The problem happens with my phone but I also have a Kindle. Amazon has an app but it is an inferior version to when you use your phone to connect to Amazon. There are a few others but it just isn't the same as having all the choices using the desktop computer and Netflix app.
The solution we've been using for years is getting the Roku box, setting up my Netflix account and setting the phone so that it automatically connects to the Roku device. This way when we're watching Netflix we can easily switch between the Roku, phone or tablet.
That's the only solution that I know works on PCs, mobile devices and smart TV. 1 Suggested Answer. A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
