Does BTRoblox work on Firefox?
I just downloaded the .exe file from the download link and it opens to a black screen with the message "Unable to start process. The parameter is incorrect" and it's not working. I also tried the linux version of this software but it didn't work either. Is BTRoblox only compatible with Chrome?
BTRoblox works on Firefox. What's not working? If you're talking about the Linux version, I don't know.
That's because they are different versions. The Linux version is only for Android/Linux. The Windows version is for Windows. They are two completely different programs, both different versions of one game.
That said, I haven't tried to run the Linux version on Windows, so I can't give you any advice as to whether it will work or not. But if you did have success, it would be a first.
@Blazenoid- I was able to install the android version of btrbox using google chrome on windows 10. Once you install it, you need to sign in with your Google account which is required in order to use the app.
Are addons safe in Firefox?
I'm worried about all those scripts running in a firefox window. What would happen if I accidentally opened this window?
You can use the Firefox Add-on Manager to search for and install add-ons from a repository (for example mozilla-aurora) instead of downloading and installing them manually from. It's your machine, it's your OS, you are ultimately the one responsible if anything goes wrong. Even if I use my own tools and have proper backups set up, things can still go wrong. I have seen people break their Windows installations with add-ons like the Java ones before, so I know that add-ons have an inherent security risk.
My question is, how do you assess the level of security of a particular addon? I'm not an IT security expert, but a couple of things came to mind: You might want to check out Firestarter (Firefox Add-on Manager > Help > About Firefox). Firestarter is pretty good at checking for things like malware and trojans; it should tell you if an addon is trying to download/install anything from anywhere but official Mozilla repositories. It also shows you what it thinks is dangerous.and allows you to block it. The reason I mention it is that this app was written in order to help a small group of non-IT types understand technology (and therefore reduce fear), and that's a big part of what we need to do to fight off the latest internet malware/spyware.
If you trust you system's security and the security of the web sites you visit, your options are as follows: 1) If you use the default set of Firefox extensions/plugins (from the FFM), then you can be confident that none of the default ones will download things, modify your data, or otherwise attack your computer. If they did, they would simply crash FF and/or be disabled. If you do something stupid with them, you'll crash FF and lose all your stuff.
2) If you install the FFM, then you'll see that there are lots of things available to you. If you trust them, you can use them safely.
