Why has BBC iPlayer suddenly stopped working?

I recently started using a PC connected to the internet with a wireless connection.

I set up a password for iPlayer and have been able to access it from this PC. However, today it suddenly stopped working.

I can see that my router has been reset but when I go to iPlayer it says there is no connection. What should I do? This happened a couple of times and I tried everything to fix it. The first time, I tried to restart the modem. This did not fix it. I did not plug in the laptop to the modem. I did not plug in the laptop to my WiFi connection. I did not try to use the mobile phone app. I just restarted my computer.

Then I tried to reconnect to the internet and it still didn't work. I tried to go back to the settings where I was before and everything was set to automatic. This has never happened before.

I have done everything to fix it. If anyone knows why this is happening, I would really appreciate it.

Re: ? I have a Mac and I get the same error. It's not an issue with the modem or router, as I can access the BBC website from other devices on the wifi.e. It seems to only be affecting BBC iPlayer. Is this a known issue? I've had the error twice now.

I'm not sure about the Mac version but it's worth checking if the iPlayer app on your Mac is showing a connection issue - you may have inadvertently changed something. Thanks for that. I checked the connection settings and they are set to automatic. I'm going to try to reset the modem.

I have an old Playstation 3 and the BBC iPlayer will crash if you press the menu button. I have tried the extended version and it still crashes. I am running the latest firmware as well.
