So with this guide you can share your internet connection of your home wifi internet and let other devices connect with your wifi or share their internet connection with your and your home wifi internet. If you have iPhone or an Android phone, then the apps will work well for this.

Before sharing your internet connection, you need to know the following things: Which device are you using wifi hotspot with? Is it connected to Wifi Router? Which type of router is attached to your wifi? Does the router has VPN option in it? Or Do you need a gateway router. In case of Mac or iPhone and iPad, they can directly attach to the wifi hotspot without a router. Does the router you are using has internet connection? I tried the guide and was able to get it working on my laptop.

Now I'm trying to get it working on my tablet. I use this guide with the same method. VPN settings are in the advanced section of the VPN settings on my phone. (The guide says to connect to a VPN but it doesn't seem to matter when I try it with an unsecured wifi). I am able to connect to the VPN, but it doesn't ask for the password, and then disconnects. If you enter your password from the VPN client, does the connection stay? If so, can you try and see if you can use the app without a password? If that works, can you see what the error is in the logs? (The logs aren't always right - I think it depends on your server and what it's sending back). Thanks! Thanks guys. How can I share my VPN in to iPhone?

You will need to connect to a VPN server to be able to change your IP address. Here's how you do that: Make sure you have a working VPN provider installed on your computer. I like NordVPN. This may be free but you will need to subscribe if you want to be able to use it on all of your devices.

Download and install the free iOS app (from Apple's App Store). It works with the standard VPN protocol (called PPTP) and is easy to use. (Alternatively, you can install VyprVPN on your phone.)

Log in to the VPN app on your iPhone (if you installed it on an iPhone). You will need your username and password from your VPN provider.

In the VPN app, open the settings section. If you are connecting to a VPN server that uses the PPTP protocol, make sure that PPTP is selected for the VPN type (it might be called PPTP VPN in other places). If you are connecting to a server that uses the L2TP/IPSec protocol, select L2TP/IPSec for the protocol.

In the network options section, enter your server's address and port number. If the server uses the PPTP protocol, enter the username, password, and certificate data.
