Why is Netflix only showing me Netflix originals?
I am a subscriber of streaming.
I pay for it every month but Netflix is not showing me any Netflix original programs. They only have the Netflix originals and not the current movies. My first question is, how do I cancel my subscription? Also, as a member of the streamer community, what are the streaming options that will help me get rid of my subscription to the other streaming companies like Sony, Hulu, and others? I have a Roku and I just want to go with something cheap so I can finally stop paying for that service. Please, help, I'm at my wits end on this.
Netflix isn't going to cancel your subscription. For Roku you could try using Vudu for streaming instead. Or you could try downloading the Netflix app on your computer instead of streaming via the internet. That's what I do anyway.
A few days ago, the app began streaming more and more content from these companies and it was getting annoying that it was being blocked, even though I'm already paying for them (because of my school's network filtering), but I thought maybe it was all I had to pay for and so I got out of them. Then, today, the day I really wanted to watch this movie, I realized that Netflix is not showing it in their library, and the other streaming companies aren't either, but when I tried to download it from iTunes on my computer, I couldn't because of the block that blocks me from downloading apps, except for the app Store.99 just to be able to watch a movie that I payed for and downloaded but can't watch? This is crazy.
Maybe they are going to let a select few stream Netflix and not everyone else for a limited time or they just don't want us to watch it? We've all seen too many "coming soon" movies from Netflix that never come out, so who knows? Maybe they are testing the market and trying to see if people actually watch them. We can only hope that someone who doesn't work for Netflix will read this and help out, as there is no real way for me to know where that person might be.
How do I get Netflix to work on VPN?
I use a Cisco VPN server on a private network (Cisco ASA) and a PPTP VPN server on the internet (PPTP in combination with OpenVPN). Currently I only use my PC for testing and have no mobile devices at home. When I connect to the PPTP server it works flawlessly. However I'm struggling with connecting my Android device using the Cisco VPN server, my laptop using the PPTP and my PC using openVPN. I hope someone can help me.
Thanks in advance for your help. EDIT: Sorry for not mentioning it earlier, but my IP configuration ist 192.168.123.1/24
Cisco vpn is usually set to run on specific network interfaces, so even if you get through the tunnel that is created by the ISP you must have specific network address assigned to your device. You may just need to assign specific range of IP address as the router's configurable interface, and use your normal IP for access to the web. However, If you want to use Cisco VPN's built in routing protocols make sure it's running on your router!
Why can't I see all the episodes on Netflix?
If you're an avid Netflix user, you know the frustration of trying to find a movie or show that you've already watched.
Whether you don't remember where it is or just forgot where it is on Netflix, you want to see all of your episodes at once. But why do you only see the most recent episode you've watched when searching for movies or shows on Netflix?
Here are some of the reasons you might be able to find one episode of a show you want but can't find all episodes. You used the incorrect search query. You might be looking for a movie or show that you watched a long time ago, and the title of the show was changed. If you don't remember the exact title, try searching by genre or description instead of by title. Or search with a more broad query. For example, if you had a friend's name in your original search, try searching for friends instead.
You have a subscription limit. You may have a Netflix subscription plan that limits you to five or 10 individual movies or shows per month. Some plans allow you to cancel your subscription or change your plan, but others don't. If you reach your monthly limit, Netflix will show you only the most recent five movies or shows you've watched instead of the entire list.
You have a paid subscription. You may be a current or former subscriber who purchased a movie or show on a DVD. When you purchase a movie or show on DVD, Netflix will usually still make available all of your previous purchases.
You want to watch movies and shows from another country. For movies and shows you buy from other countries, you can watch the entire film or show on Netflix (even if it's released in another language) without having to pay for a separate license in that country. However, if you're viewing a movie or show that was produced in another country, Netflix won't show any other country's version of the film.
You're not signed in to your account. If you're signed in to your account but aren't searching for any movies or shows, Netflix will show you a list of recent movies and shows you've watched.
You have a local account.
How do I bypass VPN block on Netflix?
I am subscribed to Netflix and have been using a VPN on a variety of computers, smartphones and other devices for years.
But this week when I tried to log in with Firefox and use Netflix, I was prompted to create a new account even though I had set up this account months ago. After creating a new account, I could not connect to my account on Netflix. So I followed the troubleshooting steps listed on this Netflix support page, but no luck. In the end I simply uninstalled the VPN and then connected directly from the device to my Netflix subscription. I am just curious why Netflix blocked me after being connected through a VPN? Is there a way to bypass this?
When I try to sign in I keep getting an error message (see images below) that says "We're unable to verify your country. Please enter the correct address." This has always worked well before with a VPN connection. This only occurs if I use VPN in Firefox and is triggered by changing my location to a different country in Firefox, then back. It seems to work just fine using Chrome. Why does it work fine in Chrome?
There's definitely something going on. Netflix does detect the country I'm trying to log in and when I'm connected, I can tell by looking at the header of a page that I'm in the US. I don't know if it's because I'm using Firefox, but I don't think they're blocking my IP. I'm on a VPN with Tor and I thought the best thing would be to remove the Tor layer to find out whether or not they're blocking anything else. When I did this, it worked perfectly. And now I've connected straight to Netflix without the use of a VPN.
If you do want to use a VPN with some sites, there are ways around your Netflix block with OpenVPN. For more info, read here.
I've since switched to Firefox and I'm already logged into the Netflix app without the use of a VPN connection. I am very much surprised as to why something would be so sensitive to the VPN connection and have something that work on other devices and browsers but not the one I wanted to use. What is causing this issue on Netflix?
Answer:? A Netflix representative declined to comment, but they are open to speaking to us about the technical details of how we get blocked.
