Can I scrape Upwork?

Is scrapper illegal?

Can you make a profit on affiliate websites or do you need to make an investment to earn online?

This is probably the most common question I've ever had. Some call me paranoid when I start talking about writing articles and selling them online, others wonder how they can do it without getting caught.

The truth is that there are a lot of ways you can turn a hobby into a full-time job and make money online. So what's this article about then? What do you mean, what's the problem and why do I need a plugin? Well, let's just say that the reason you're reading this is because you've spent months researching and trying out several different methods. You've invested a fair amount of time in writing a website.

You've created a ton of content and even set up various affiliate links. And you've come to the conclusion that the whole process takes a little too much work and isn't exactly lucrative. So, you've left the whole thing behind and have instead moved to something else to make money online.

That's fine and perfectly understandable, butyou just don't realize that you could've been making money online in a whole bunch of different ways for almost a year! What are these things you say? Well, first of all, there's affiliate marketing, which is the process of writing and selling affiliate offers in your articles, videos and other written content, usually in the same niche that you're working in. You can also build your own niche market and charge a fee for consultations.

As far as blogs are concerned, they're not limited to WordPress blogs as you may think, however they do require some extra technical knowledge. You can create websites and make money through ads and selling products on your pages. Some of the best bloggers around are now focusing on creating their own products.

What about writing a book? I mean, I've seen people do that already. Well, if you want to try your hand at creating your own digital product and getting it out there, then this is a great method.

Can websites detect scrapers?

Does the existence of a website lead scrapers to try crawling it and try to scrape the content, in hopes that it's not doing anything to block scraping? Does it matter how many of those websites there are? Does it change if they're all different blogs and/or websites? Well as long as you aren't posting an API key, they wont be able to steal the content but the question is how much information does the website provide to users and how much does it protect itself from being scraped. If they are providing a public API to their content, scrapers could steal that. If they are going through a login/password process like most modern websites, I'm not really sure how you would steal the content even if you had access to it. If the website was hosted on AWS, then maybe but not if they are using a CDN.

But in your question you also mentioned that the pages didn't load properly. I am going to go out on a limb and assume that means that some type of protection is used. If thats the case, then your best bet is making it hard for them to scrap the data they want. The easiest method to do that is putting up some type of protection such as robots.txt.

You can also use URL redirects, this depends on the types of protection that your website uses though.
