What is the focus mode of BlockSite?

Is BlockSite a safe extension?

I'm new to the BlockSite extensions.

I just installed it on my computer and everything is fine. I love the simplicity of it. However, I am nervous about what may happen in the future if something goes wrong. Has anyone had any problems with BlockSite? Has anyone experienced anything negative happen from using this tool?

Comments. Good question. I have been a regular user of BlockSite for over two years and I have never had a single problem with it.

The most recent thing that I remember was I had to re-download my backup of my whole site because of a technical issue. It took me about an hour to do that, but it was no big deal.

You could argue that if something does go wrong with your site, it's because you didn't do enough maintenance on it. But as I've said before, that doesn't really matter with BlockSite because you don't have to do anything to it. It just sits there and works for you.

I've found that I can get pretty much all the benefit of using BlockSite by just going to my site every few days and visiting some of the pages and editing them. So far, I've only ever had to call BlockSite and it's done what I asked it to do. I've never had to do anything to it.

I've been using BlockSite for more than 2 years now, and it has worked great for me. However, one time I was having problems and I tried to re-install the extension but it didn't work. I had to call support.

They told me to just delete the file and reinstall it, which I did, and now it's working again. I think you should be fine. BTW, if you need to get help with installing the extension, go to their Support forum and ask them how to do it.

How do I use BlockSite block websites and stay focused?

The BlockSite block is a great way to quickly protect your main pages or entire sites against bad link building schemes, but it's not enough.

The BlockSite block will always display in the sidebar. In order to get it to display at the top of the page and also to stay there once it does, we need to change some settings.

Open your child theme config file (if you're using one), located at .site-branding.scss, and find the @site-sidebar-position property. Change this value from top to always-top.

You can read more about this property in the Site Sidebar block documentation. I can't get the sidebars to show up! What am I doing wrong? If you're seeing no sidebars, make sure to follow the instructions above in order to change the site side bar position to always-top, then check that the file .scss is in fact in your child theme's folder. You might want to check that you don't have the parent theme's .scss in your child theme, as well.

I'm still having trouble. I've disabled sidebars for testing purposes but they are still not showing up.

If you're using the Site Block sidebar to create custom sidebars, go back to those Site Block Configuration settings to change your sidebar position top, then clear your browser's cache. If you're using the Sidebar Links block, you should see the sidebar links appear in your edit mode immediately. To make them appear in your front end, simply click on the Sidebar Links block, then hit the Edit Blocks button, then Save your blocks.
