How do I check my proxy IP speed?
The Internet Service Provider, or ISP, of your home or business often has the ability to monitor the amount of data you're using, and whether or not it's going through their network.
Check your ISP's website for instructions on how to do this.
If you're using a VPN, you'll need to check the speed and quality of your VPN connection in addition to the speed and quality of the data you're sending and receiving. You can use any VPN service on any device. Some services, like IPVanish, will allow you to connect your devices at once, while others, like CyberGhost, have apps that will connect automatically. You can access Speedtest.net directly from your browser, and any speed test sites that use that service will also have an option to connect.
If you've connected with a VPN but you still aren't receiving the speeds you're expecting, you may be paying for a lower-quality VPN service. To test the quality of your connection to a VPN, connect to your VPN on two different computers, one with an unlimited data plan and the other with a limited data plan. If you're seeing different speeds from each connection, it's a good sign that your VPN is throttling your connection.
If you're experiencing poor or spotty connections on your mobile device, it's possible that your cellular provider is throttling or blocking certain types of traffic. Contact your cellular provider and ask them to investigate.
How can I improve my connection speed? The speed at which you download and upload information is directly related to your internet service provider's available bandwidth. The ISP throttles or blocks your bandwidth, and if you exceed your allotted data allotment, you won't be able to download as much information.
If you're having trouble with your connection speed, consider upgrading to a higher-speed plan. Most providers will allow you to upgrade when you first sign up, though you can contact customer service to make the change.

Should my proxy server be on or off?
I have a VPS in China.
I was told to configure my firewall so that only a few IPs can connect to it, and most of the time it will not be connected to the Internet, but always on. Also, I need to make sure that my router/gateway is directly connected to the ISP.
Why do I need a proxy server? Because of security reasons. If I configure my server correctly, then I will be able to get access to blocked sites through my VPS provider.
Is it good practice to make my router directly connected to the ISP and my proxy server in the same VPS or in two different VPS? 2 Answers.
If you are concerned about your security, you should definitely have a separate server. However, if the router is directly connected to your ISP, then it is basically your gateway and this configuration should be fine.
I understand why you might want to use a VPS because the ISP requires certain hardware specs, such as a minimum RAM or CPU usage. So, even if your service provider has to pay for hardware upgrades (and they are always charging for upgrades) there will be no downtime. However, you may be able to configure a VPS so that it can also handle heavy traffic spikes. This means you can get lower prices for your VPS.
Another option is to use Cloudflare, which is not a proxy. They help you with your security and speed of internet. However, it may take up a lot of your RAM.
But you may want to use Cloudflare anyway, because it can give you better performance. You can also consider the Amazon AWS S3, it's free and very fast. However, you don't control what you put into your bucket, so you must be very careful to make sure that it doesn't leak any information that can be used against you.
You can also use Cloudflare and a server in Europe, that will give you better speeds. But again, they are not proxies and you are not in control of what you store in your bucket.
I personally recommend using Amazon AWS S3 because it's free, and it has many features that let you keep your data safe and secure. You can keep any content you wish and it does not cost anything.
What is the best proxy checker?
(which has a lot of proxies listed)
When I want to use some proxies, which one do you use? What is the best and why? I am new to proxies and have only found a proxy list that someone did to be the best for his purposes. Is this correct? (I use it as I type and then look for the good proxies) What do you prefer, is there something you find better than others? (like a browser extension or a paid version etc.) I do like the "Best proxy checker" one above. My experience using proxies is limited and I tend to avoid them. It's best to just try and see what happens. If the site doesn't work, then you know it's working for you, if it does work, then that's good too. :P

If you mean by "proxy" a program that redirects your requests through a host other than the one you're asking for, then any browser that can load HTTP requests will suffice, regardless of the interface. Proxy checkers take advantage of the fact that HTTP is an open protocol and that if you send out a request for example.com, then there's a large variety of responses from a variety of servers that all say exactly the same thing. The idea is that you can ask the proxy to respond with some arbitrary information instead of doing a DNS lookup and so you can "check" the proxy for free.
If you don't mind the expense, you can always build your own. There's no need for the checker to know anything about you other than where it started and what address you're asking it to reply with, or its IP address. As a bonus, you get to add whatever you want.
If you go with a checker, try googling for one you like, most should be free and have instructions on how to use them. I've used free and . You're unlikely to find anything more free and easy, especially with the number of proxies out there (about half a million). Also, many are hidden (not always by intent).
How do you check proxy is working or not?
I have been using a proxy server for a long time.
But, recently I started facing a problem. When I check proxy server in my browser the request is going through proxy. But it is not working.
As you can see in the image I have checked "Use Proxy Server" option in my browser. Please help me to resolve this issue. The proxy server must be set to listen on all interfaces and have a protocol configured to route the request through the proxy. To do this you must check the "All-Protocol" checkbox, but you must also ensure that "Use proxy for all protocols" is checked.
In the screenshot you posted, the proxy is listening on an interface (in this case lo0) so the request will be routed through the proxy. The TCP connection through the proxy (port 8080) is used to route the request through the proxy.
If you check the TCP header you will see that the address of the proxy is the one in the "Proxy" field, and the port is 8080 (the default port for the proxy protocol).
