How do I add Windscribe extension to Chrome?
I would like to add the Windscribe VPN extension to Chrome, but I cannot figure out how to do it.
I have already installed all of the required components (listed here) with no success. I have tried clicking the "Download Chrome Extension" link and trying to install the downloaded zip file. I also tried to open Chrome's extension window directly, and still no luck. I am running Windows 10 and using the latest version of Chrome. I would be glad if anyone could help me with this. First, I want to clarify that your question is not about installing a VPN extension, which would be an extension to Google Chrome browser, but a separate VPN app. There are several different apps you can try out as well, depending on what features you're looking for.
For your problem, you need to download and install the Windscribe App from . Then in order to be able to download an extension for Chrome, you must make sure that Chrome does not block the "Allow unsafe extensions" setting in the "Settings", as seen below: Go to "chrome://settings/extensions". If it does not appear there, you can go to to access it.
If you enable "Allow unsafe extensions", you will get a warning page stating that extensions can be used to "harm" your system. If you still can't download an extension for Chrome, you can download the *crx file and then double click to install. It should install the extension.
Why is Windscribe extension not working?
I have a little problem with windscribe for windows 8.
1, I can start the app, but it doesnt show the sign in page like it does when I sign in using my normal MS account. Any ideas on what I can do to make it work?
It looks like the sign in works just fine, because everytime it starts a new process. If I disable the extension then it works. But the extension is working.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Is Windscribe an app or extension?
If I install the Firefox mobile app and set it to start on phone's unlock event, that would mean when I unlocked my phone, it would launch and then immediately stop.
Windscribe would keep working and downloading all of my videos and photos, but without the ability to pause or control them because my phone wouldn't have a chance to pause/resume their download. I'm not sure about how apps usually work, but I'd love for Windscribe to automatically pause when I start the phone and resume when I end it. This is basically what Windscribe does with its desktop app if I understand correctly.
