Can I trust Hotspot Shield?

I have been using hotspot shield for a while now. I have my phone on my laptop (windows) and hotspot shield is on my laptop (ubuntu). It was working just fine until I restarted my laptop. Now when I go to hotspot shield I see a screen that says "Laptop not found". I have tried to change the IP address of my laptop and also have tried to change the IP address of my hotspot shield but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know what I could do to fix this? I would appreciate any help.

Re: ? You need to change the IP address of your laptop. You can do this by going to network connections in your settings and changing the IP address.

You can also change the IP of your hotspot shield by clicking on the hotspot shield icon in the top right hand corner of your screen and then clicking on the wrench icon. You will then see a window pop up. Click on the IP tab and change the IP.
