How much does Aloha POS cost?
We've been hearing a lot of questions about Aloha POS from our customers, and it's easy to see why.
It's a popular product, and one that offers great value for money in a small package.
But what is the price tag? Aloha POS is a good-quality product with a lot of features - and it has been selling well since its launch in February 2026. But there's no doubt that if you're looking at purchasing Aloha POS, you want to know what your out-of-pocket costs are going to be.
So we set about finding out. We spoke to the Aloha POS team and their partners at M&J Marketing who have made sure that we get an accurate cost of this tool.
Our findings suggest that you're looking at spending around 2,732 to buy Aloha POS and start using it as your POS for your business. That's a rather hefty figure, but when you consider all the benefits of a robust point of sale system, it looks like a pretty good deal.
First, we'll cover the costs of the software, and then we'll cover the costs of the hardware, installation and configuration. Finally, we'll talk about how you can save money by going the DIY route - and then we'll take a look at all the other costs involved.
The Costs of Aloha POS. As we said at the beginning of this article, Aloha POS is a very popular solution for businesses, and it has gained a strong following in a short space of time. You can see from the screenshot below how well it's selling in the App Store: Aloha POS is a very popular app in the App Store. You'll need a Mac to install the software, and a computer with USB ports on it as well. The system will work on Mac and Windows computers, but the Mac version is obviously much more user-friendly than the Windows version.
And you'll also need a compatible printer to print your receipts. If you're looking at using the system for a large business, then you may need to add in more printers, but you're going to spend around 25 per printer.
Which POS system has the lowest fees?
My wife and I are looking to do a POS system for our small business.
It will handle only cash transactions and no credit card transactions. We need to find a POS system that is affordable and easy to use. We don't want a software based system that requires a lot of training. Any suggestions?
The best POS software is the one you'll never use. For cash, it's probably going to be your ATM card. If you don't have a regular "business account" for your business, then you don't need a POS system at all. There are ATM machines everywhere, and the cards are free. (But you may want to get a new card with a different pin number so it won't show up on your credit card statement).
You may want to think about going to a local store with a cash register and an ATM card reader, which will charge you 3% for each transaction. The ATM card reader should only cost you a few hundred dollars, and it will be easier to manage cash flow. It will also be much cheaper to have your money go to your business account instead of to your personal account. If you want to use your ATM card for purchases, you can always add a debit card to your business account.
As far as POS software, you might be able to get away with a generic Windows desktop application, like Quicken. Or if you can get a business version of QuickBooks, it will work. But you'd need to pay for that version. And you still need to train people on how to use it.
If you can't use the ATM card, and you have to use a POS system, then you'd need to think about what kind of POS system you want to use. It will depend on what kind of POS hardware you already have. Do you already have a card reader? A cash drawer? An inventory control system? If you don't have a lot of the things you need, you might want to go with a system that is integrated into your existing hardware.
I think the best POS system would be a combination of the two. Use the ATM card to process cash transactions. Add a debit card for purchases. I have a friend who uses an ATM card for cash transactions, a debit card for credit card transactions, and a POS system to manage inventory. This is what I call the "cash and credit" system.
There are other options as well.
How much does a POS cost per month?
A lot of businesses wonder how much a POS system costs.
In this article, we will answer that question.
There are a variety of ways to figure out the cost of your new point-of-sale system. Some include: Total cost of the hardware and software. Upfront cost. Maintenance cost. Total monthly cost. But one way that you can make sure you are doing a good job of determining the correct cost is to track it on an ongoing basis over a long period of time. The amount you charge for monthly payments or per month will depend on several factors. But the total cost of POS should include the following: The cost of the hardware. The cost of the software. The cost of installation. The cost of a yearly maintenance contract. The amount you will charge for monthly payments or per month. In most cases, you will pay the price you agreed to pay at the time you signed a contract. However, if you have an interest-free installment plan or if you have a contract that lasts less than one year, you may be charged less than the total cost.
When you use a monthly payment plan, it is usually calculated per month. This is also known as a two-thirds contract.
The total cost of a POS system can include many different items.
