How do I open Chrome on my Samsung phone?
I have a Galaxy S6.
I don't know if I need to upgrade, but I'd like to try chrome if possible. I have Windows 10 on my computer. Do I need to do something to get chrome to work?
You should just be able to do Settings > Apps > All apps > Google Play store > My apps, and click the search button in the top right hand corner. The Play Store app should appear, and you should see that Google Chrome is installed.

Where is Chrome in settings?
After updating to 3.
7.1, I noticed a missing tab named "Chrome". I also couldn't use the "Search bar" and also I tried to find any settings related to it. I would be grateful if you guys could help me out with my problem.
Is it possible to add a link on the chrome tab? Something like the "Bookmark on this site" option for firefox. If this is not possible, I think i'll stick with firefox for now.
If you don't have "chrome://settings", that's a bug. We're currently trying to find what might have caused it. If you could please follow the instructions in our support forum post and submit a feedback form here, and you'll get an update when we find out.
I have this problem too, and it's annoying. I've tried everything listed in your post. I've installed Chrome. No luck I've tried to re-install the browser, without any luck. I've uninstalled Chrome again and installed it again, with no luck. I can't even find any information about it. Can I do something to make the chrome tab appear again, or is it gone for good? The only real solution I found was uninstalling Windows 8. I didn't like any browser on this new version of Microsoft OS. Chrome does work but it keeps disappearing! What a pain! But anyway - I just wanted to let you know that there is an excellent workaround. In fact - I used to see your blog back in the days of Google reader and have continued to return ever since I got into Chrome. So it's been good to see you continue and keep me informed. Now - I'm hoping you can help - I'm trying to put together a nice little holiday gift for a friend of mine who will soon have her very first baby.
Anyway - If your browser won't come up for her I want to try to send her this awesome little tool and it sounds perfect for what she wants - because you and I both know you haven't really given her many gadgets for a couple of years! And if it doesn't work - then hey ho! It was still great fun playing and I hope you are as delighted as I am by the results.
How do I open Chrome settings on Android?
Google Chrome is a web browser, but you can also use it to manage and store passwords and settings for websites.
Here's how to open and use Chrome settings on Android.
You can use the chrome://settings/ command in any browser that has a Web UI (desktop and mobile versions of Chrome), but on Android, you'll need to use an app. Chrome on Android, being a browser, should have the most useful and relevant features, but if there's something you're looking for, here are some common settings you can access: Manage your passwords. From the main Chrome menu, choose Settings -> Show Advanced Settings. You'll see the option for Manage passwords.
This will show all of your stored passwords, with checkboxes for items you'd like to keep or get rid of. If you select All items, all of your passwords will be kept. If you select just the ones you want to keep, you can mark them as "Show password" so they will be viewable but not saveable. Selecting "Remove" will remove all of your passwords. If you've been using Chrome a while, you may have quite a few passwords you want to remove, which is where this option comes in handy.
Also note that you'll want to backup your passwords to a file, because the password will be stored in plaintext, and Google doesn't support that anymore. If you want to use a different password manager, there are some suggestions at Lifehacker and our own post on the best password managers. Turn off the sync of passwords and other settings. This setting allows you to stop Chrome from syncing any of your passwords or other data between your devices. Click Settings -> Sync. In this menu, select whether you want to turn off your sync for passwords or other data, and which device it applies to. There's a lot more you can do in Chrome settings on Android, including: Manage your Google account. Google accounts are the single source of authentication for a lot of web and mobile apps, so if you have multiple accounts, you'll want to manage them all. From the main Chrome menu, click Settings -> Account Settings. This opens a small, secondary menu with a series of options, including Add an account. Enter your Gmail or other Google account information, and then click Next.
