How do I set up a Family Link for my child?

If you have enrolled in a Family Link program and want to apply your Family Link eligibility, please log in to your Family Account online or call 811. You will need the following information depending on which state you live in: If you are applying for the first time, your phone number and date of birth must be verified with the Department of Child Support Services (DCS).Maintain this information for verification purposes.

Can I see my child's text messages on Family Link?

If you create a Family Link account, you can access and manage your entire family's information in one place. You can set up Family Link using free downloads from Microsoft. Your child's child account is separate from your child account and will only be viewable by the other family members with whom you have Family Link set up. This might be the first time you've been asked to sign in since you created your child's Family Link account. From one of the accounts available on the Connect another account screen, enter the email address and password you assigned to the original account after creating its child account for the first time.

On the next screen, choose Microsoft account. Enter the Microsoft account that you want to use and then enter your original email address and password.

Can parents use Family Link on Android?

How well is Family Link working? (Note: this is not a review of Family Link, just a question about its usability.) I'm one of the many people eager to see Family Link and Kids' Screen Time implemented. From what I've seen so far, it's pretty brilliant.

The last time that I used the service was for an experiment with the Family Home Screen blending mode that I published about a month ago. The screen on my two-year old's Android tablet did exactly what I expected it to do; it was visible on both screens, but the content surfaced on the bigger display.

But I also noticed that if I used the phone app to navigate back to the Family Home Screen while the tablet was set to use two simultaneous displays, the visible screen was blank. I had to leave the phone app first, then re-open it to see any content.

So far so good I imagine that almost everything that Google has demonstrated is meant for use on a tablet screen. But what about the phone app is this working at all? Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't appear to be working. I've tried using the phone app on my wife's phone, and my own phone to see if that would get me better results, but neither app worked. For example, as you can see from the image here, the phone app isn't displaying any of the same data and functionality that I experienced with the tablet app. More specifically, the list of children's accounts (says 0 children) is clearly something that I normally have using the Family Home Screen app on my tablet, but not while using the phone app on my wife's phone. And the phone app isn't smart enough to know that the two displays are set to make up one big screen the Take a Screenshot button (the plus sign in the upper-right corner) is invisible, because there's apparently no way to make it show on both screens. (I suppose screenshots would work if the phone app knew about them, but they wouldn't include the dumbed-down interface.
