How to connect VPN in Mac terminal?
I am new to mac os, I want to know , and if we use command line, then how to do it?
I am using mac OS 10.7.
If you are using the "Terminal" app, then the easiest way is to just type "openvpn" in the search bar in the top left corner, or in the menu in the top left. This will open the OpenVPN app and give you a few options on how to connect.
If you are not using the "Terminal" app, then you would open the OpenVPN config file from your Mac's file manager (eg Finder). If you are using the Mac GUI, then the path to your OpenVPN config file would be /Applications/OpenVPN/config. The "config" file is where all your OpenVPN configuration settings are stored.
If you are not using the OpenVPN GUI, then you can open the config file from the Terminal using the following command: open /Applications/OpenVPN/config. For information on the format of this config file, see. Finally, for connecting using the "Terminal" app, you would type: openvpn

In the connection profile you can also set options such as the following: The name of your OpenVPN server. The OpenVPN user account that is to use to log into the server. A static key. The number of concurrent connections to your OpenVPN server. The protocol (UDP or TCP) over which to transfer data. The number of hours your connection will last. When you have defined all of this information, you can proceed with the installation of the client by running the app. If everything is configured correctly, you will see the "installing." message. In fact, you can select any number of devices to install the app on and connect to them simultaneously. Once all the devices are connected, you can start the server manually.

How to start OpenVPN through terminal?
I just set up a virtual machine running on CentOS 6, and want to connect to my company VPN via terminal.
First, I go to the VPN settings of my VPN server, then input the password. After that, it connects to my company VPN, and gives me a list of IP addresses. But, what I want is that everytime I log into the VM, it automatically connects to the VPN server. For example, if my original IP address is 12.12, and I go to my home computer where I log in. Then it takes me directly to my home server's VPN, and gives me an IP address which is 12. Then I can freely access the internet without connecting to the VPN server via terminal. I can even use the VPN to connect to different servers.
I have no idea what is wrong with my script file, please help me out with some good comments or answers. Use your home router as your NAT server. It will redirect all incoming connections from outside (ie those you initiate yourself) to a VPN tunnel on the LAN side.
As long as you're tunneling traffic to it through the company's VPN, you can use the original IP address as your LAN IP address as it's your own IP address in reverse tunnel. You'll only end up in a NATed IP address at the company's gateway but even that is better than not using their gateway because you'd be giving up any possibility of using their infrastructure.
