Should I switch from Sapphire Reserve to preferred?

Is there a $75 annual fee for Chase Sapphire Reserve?

I am a travel blogger and am considering the Chase Sapphire Reserve card.

Also, how does the bonus for spending 3K in a month compare to the Citi Double Cash card? There is no annual fee. And since it's a travel credit card, it's good for all of your travel expenses, not just airfare. It's a travel card, not a card for people who travel a lot. It's based on spending 3k per month. The bonus is good for hotel stays, car rentals, and cruises. I have read on other blogs that it is only good for airfare.

Thank you for the response! I am traveling a lot for work and I think this card will help me a lot in saving money on hotels. What do you mean by airfare? Airfare is for flying. But I'm guessing you are referring to domestic flights. Because if so, the point of the card is to earn points for travel that is not international. So, if I book a domestic flight, do I earn points for that?

I will be using my card for travel and daily spending, some gaming and other purchases such as dining out etc.

The Sapphire Reserve has 3% cashback at U. Gas stations. The card does not have travel points or no annual fee. They do offer 2 months of no interest. You can get more details here:

As I am not the one that will be paying the monthly fees I am looking at the rewards. Here is a summary of the bonuses on the Reserve and Platinum: Amex has an additional 2 month interest free period. Here is a list of bonuses offered by Amex: In addition to the bonuses you mentioned you can get 10k additional points from airline partners and travel agencies (if you are in the US). Also the Sapphire Reserve allows you to enroll at some hotels (not all) and also offers complimentary valet parking. You should check to make sure you have a good choice of banks for your checking account. Others will open without any outlay.

This link will take you to the bank's website where you'll find information about how they handle bank account opening fees.

What is better, Chase Sapphire Preferred or Reserve?

I will be getting a Chase Sapphire Preferred card in the future and want to know if it is better than the Chase Reserve.

I am a big fan of Chase cards and have been with them for about a year.99%?

Any help would be great. Thanks! I recently got my Chase Sapphire Preferred card, but I'm not happy with it at all. I love the 0% on balance transfers, but there are a few things that don't work for me. I feel like I'm locked into a card with a low earning potential. Also, my husband is out of the military, so he can't fly on Delta or Southwest anymore. When we travel, I get 2 free checked bags, but I can only use one. It's a deal breaker for me.
