Where can find Web Scraping jobs?
So, where to find web scraping jobs?
My last web scraping job was over a year ago, and it paid well enough to be able to quit my day job (though I haven't been on the look-out for another one since then). Does anyone have suggestions for where else I could scrape jobs online? Well, at the time, the only way to really advertise for jobs is using adsense. And while it does work in theory, many people don't get approved; so they stop working and spend money on an ad network instead of working.
There are some web services that will do this automatically for you, although I think you will have a hard time pulling in a decent profit for it. I use myspidy, but I guess you can try different ones out.
If you'd prefer to just go it alone and set your own ads, you may have luck with an RSS reader. Personally, I got fed up with it after about 2 years - it was a struggle to be productive with so many sites cluttering up my news reader. And if you're doing something that's not really news based, but a few random sites, you'd still have to set up different headlines and different sites every time.
It took me two years too to finally switch away from it, and I never looked back. But, now I've got the same issue, and it looks like I'm back at square one. I also find some of the advertising methods for RSS feeds really annoying. If I didn't know how to code, it would be pretty hard to make the sites pay me for sending their readers to other sites. Some of the advertising options would make me want to throw things. Like, I get a cookie from yahoo, and I click on it, and it goes to amazon. There has to be a better way to do this!
So, yeah. That's where I started and I ended. I've now done a little more work on it, because I think I can make it a bit more reliable. Now that I know what I'm doing again, I've just got to find myself a good job to advertise!
I get adsense and amazon links as well. Its not hard to manage. You just need an affiliate account with these websites to signup when registering. It makes it easy and safe.
