Does the magic link work for CarPlay?
The answer is yes, but you may need to take a few extra steps.
The magic link lets your car-to-car interface communicate with your phone. In fact, this tech debuted in the new Buick Envision, which was first revealed at the North American International Auto Show. So why has Buick waited until now to roll it out? I reached out to Buick to ask.
A Buick spokesperson sent me a statement that said, in part: "Buick is the first brand to feature CarPlay and Android Auto in all of its vehicles. The magic link is a technology feature used to share content on your smartphone with other applications on your smartphone or computer. It enables certain apps to access your smartphone while using certain functions of your Buick vehicle. All Buick users can opt-in to use the technology by contacting their local Buick dealer."
Note that Buick is a division of General Motors, not a standalone company. Thus, there is no "Buick" brand name to refer to as a stand-alone entity when asking about this particular tech. I reached out to Buick again to clarify who I could contact directly.
In an email, Buick's PR and Media Manager Sarah McEwen wrote: "There is a separate Buick division, so you will need to reach out to them." It makes sense, but the magic link is still coming to Buicks. GM didn't even have a Buick brand back in 2025 when the Magic Link debuted in the Buick Envision. Since then, the brand has only grown a bit, but Buick is still technically in a beta phase, so it doesn't get the same access to tech as companies like GM, Ford, Toyota, and Honda, which release cars with a full product line. Also, because it's new, GM hasn't had as much time to train dealers on how to install it.
Still, the Magic Link is a definite step up from using a car's on-board speakers, which most of us can agree are pretty terrible. (Not to mention, the on-board speakers are often hardwired into your sound system, which means you'd have to break out your soldering iron just to swap a Bluetooth headset.)
Before it became available in the Envision, the Magic Link relied on your smartphone's NFC radio for data transmission.
What is the magic link?
The Magic Link was originally the "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and later "The Incredible Journey".
These are all stories of adventurers going on some kind of journey into the depths of the earth. At first it was just a gimmick, but nowadays when this kind of movie has been made over and over again it's grown into a genre all its own. There's an entire franchise based on the Magic Link, but I want to focus on this one adventure here.
So, ? The Magic Link is one of those devices used in every adventure to allow the protagonist to explore a new world or discover a new location. It's not very big and isn't very complicated. It's there to remind us that even if it doesn't seem like it, there are plenty of things happening behind the scenes.
Let's look at the list of characteristics and requirements for a Magic Link. The Magic Link is either an object or a vehicle that transports the main character to a new location. The main character will then use it to travel, explore, and discover what's going on. The protagonist must be the one who gets to control it. If there's a second person, then it's just going to be a distraction for the protagonist.
The magic link is not just there to move the main character around. It also provides something useful that the main character can do.
The magic link is connected to the main character, and as such the story is connected to the main character. If the main character dies or fails to solve the plot, then there will be no story to tell.
The Magic Link is the only way for the main character to connect the story and get to the end. If the protagonist loses contact with the magic link, he or she will cease to exist. The world might not come to an end, but the main character would not be around to tell a story or interact with a new audience.
In that particular adventure, the main character is trying to save his friend by entering the center of the earth. He's not interested in anything else, and he doesn't like it when others come along and start interfering with what he's doing.
How to connect Android Auto wirelessly?
I was wondering if anyone can help me?
I have had an old android phone (Samsung Galaxy 3) for ages and was getting it out of landfill, now I have a new android phone (Samsung Galaxy A8) which is really good. I want to put it on my car and wirelessly connect to the bluetooth, I found this so I did what the instructions said but when I try to start the app in the car it shows this Connecting via Bluetooth is supported only for some Android phones. If your phone does not support it, your best option is to use a USB cable to connect the phone.
I'm not sure where you are getting this information from, but if you are using an HTC device, connecting to Android Auto with Android Auto should work automatically (if you have a compatible phone). Android Auto requires that your phone be connected to your vehicle and must be paired before you can use it.
Can someone please explain in simple terms? Thanks. David. EDIT: Thanks! 1

Connecting Android Auto wirelessly to your car's bluetooth means you would have to either be a) Using an official Android Auto compatible device or b) You would need to use an OEM supplied bluetooth adaptor with your Android Auto compatible phone (such as Google, LG or Samsung) but this would cost extra. If you have a Google phone like a Nexus, you would get it set up to connect to Android Auto but it won't work unless you're using the OEM supplied Bluetooth adaptor, if you were using a third party adaptor, it would have to be manually setup to work. I'm not sure why you think that because you are connected to your phone through Bluetooth that you will be able to access the functions of the Android Auto App. The App uses your mobile device to connect to the vehicle, which means it needs to be connected to the vehicle's Bluetooth to function, not the other way around. The App itself doesn't show you which other App you need to have in order to connect to Android Auto.
How to connect magic link to car?
By: Prakash.
Oct 13th, 2025. Hello. I am new to magic link and I would like to know how to connect my car with it and how to use it. Thanks in advance. By: David. The Magic Link is a remote control car that you can operate from your phone and it has a wireless connection to your vehicle. To start the Magic Link you simply enter your phone number into the Magic Link app and you are good to go.
By default the app uses WiFi for its connection but you can also use cellular data if you wish. There are a few buttons on the Magic Link and you can see them in the picture above. If you have a question please let me know and I will be happy to help you.
Best regards
