Is NordVPN blocked by Netflix?
If you use the Netflix application on multiple devices, such as smartphones and tablets, at home or while traveling, you may find that you are unable to select content from the Netflix catalogue.
This means that while some other providers such as Amazon Video or Hulu do not have a problem with NordVPN, Netflix seem to have issues in using the popular VPN provider on devices such as smartphones or tablets. We have reached out to NordVPN for an official statement regarding this issue, which we will update if we receive any news regarding this matter. UPDATE: We got some more info regarding the root cause of the problem and NordVPN states: The VPN works flawlessly on your main device (Windows, Mac and Linux). However, on the mobile versions (iPhones/iPads) of the official Netflix client, it isn't that straightforward, as it doesn't work like what they expect it to do, which seems to be based on Windows. Our own solution is that our users can download a VPN client and switch connections via apps like TunnelBear, Private Internet Access or any other VPN service that would work fine on iOS.
We will continue to update this article if new information is released regarding the root cause of the problem. Update #1 - This is a duplicate of this article. This was found by mistake, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by it.
Update #2 - NordVPN has been in contact with us and has just informed us that they are aware of the problem and stated: We're in touch with our customer service people. They said it was a technical issue. It looks like only iOS devices don't recognize the IP address changing while using PPTP, and it's something we'll fix quickly. We'll let you know here when it's ready, and you can always manually change your IP address using a different VPN service that supports our VPN servers.
Update #3 - NordVPN is back up after the outage this past weekend, so you can now watch Netflix again from any Android, iPhone, iPad or other device you own.
Why is my NordVPN not working?
As an example, as mentioned in the comments section above. Use OpenVPN Connect to connect to NordVPN. The client should have default settings set. In other words, it should already open all sites you want in your VPN connection if it is active.
If the problem you get is not getting the websites when connecting to the VPN, check if you have correctly setup the OpenVPN Client config files and that are on a correct path. You need to do this to prevent having duplicate IPs on your network. To find out where your config file is, follow this link from your client.
You can then double-check if these files exist at the expected folder on your computer.

Why is my VPN not connecting?

I would like to connect from my home network to my university's network, however I am having issues. I have setup a static IP and a DNS server. Update 2: I have made sure that I am using the correct IP address for my university. I also have verified that I am using the correct DNS server for my university.
I have made sure to add the routes in a static way, instead of a dynamic way. For example, my DNS server is 192.1, and I have added a route that goes through 192. This is the same IP address that my university's VPN uses.
I've gone into my router's admin page, and I have set the following: IP address 192.2 Subnet mask 255.0 Default gateway 192.1 DNS server 192.1 I have enabled "Broadcast address" for the VPN to 192.
