What is the username and password for IPVanish?

We require a username and password to access the website. This is used to authenticate who is accessing the account and also to verify the user's identity. This is required to confirm that you are who you say you are.

The login credentials are encrypted and only available to the customer. This is a way of protecting against people impersonating users to gain unauthorized access to the account or information.

The IPVanish website will not send out email with your username and password. If you cannot remember your password, please go to the forgot password link on the login screen to reset it.

How can I setup my IPVanish account? Go to the IPVanish website, log into your account and select the 'Customer Portal' option from the top menu. You will be presented with the following screen: On the left, the Customer Portal is listed as the first choice for your username. This is the same as the username you use to log into the VPN software. The customer portal is a web-based control panel for managing your account.

In the top right corner of the screenshot above, you will notice the IPVanish logo. Clicking on this logo opens the login screen for the portal.

Click on the 'Sign in' button at the bottom of the screen and enter your username and password. Your account information will then be displayed. The customer portal is a one-stop shop for all your VPN account information.

When you create an account, you will have the option to add payment methods and download the software onto your device. You will need to update these details when you make changes to your account.

What is the procedure to download the VPN app onto my device? You can download the IPVanish app onto your PC or Mac by clicking on the download icon on the right side of the page. The app can be installed and run from either location.

To use the app you will need to have a Mac or PC running Windows, macOS, iOS, Android or Linux. Downloading the app onto your device will not install any software or change your device settings.

How do I get a free IPVanish account?

Get a VPN account. After you have set up your device to connect to the internet through our VPN servers, you can go to your account and click 'Activate' and follow the instructions. The setup is straightforward and quick. You will then receive a unique link that allows you to login to your account.

Log in with your unique ID and password. Click the 'Add Services' icon, and then choose 'Add Virtual Private Network'. Type your email address into the text box labeled 'Your Email Address', choose 'No' from the list of pre-selected emails (the default option), and then enter your first and last name into the 'Name' text box. If you are logged in to your account, you will be directed to your account page. Sign up for your free trial. Log into your account using the information you provided during setup. From there you can download our application or access our web portal.

After downloading, complete the free trial form. The free trial allows you to use IPVanish's services as much as you want without being charged until the end of the free trial period. You can decide at any time whether to purchase a subscription.

If you wish to cancel your free trial, visit your account and click 'Cancel Trial' in the Account Dashboard. This will remove your IPVanish account from the free trial period. You will still have access to your free trials and you can continue to use the services.

How do I change my password? If you forget your password, follow these steps: Once you have signed in, you will be redirected to your Dashboard. Click on 'My Profile' from the top left hand corner.

Select the account you wish to sign in to from the dropdown menu. Click 'change password'. On the new page, type in your current password and then enter a new password twice. Click 'update password' and your password will be changed. Go to my profile and select the Account tab. From here you will be able to change your password to a new one.

IPVanish never logs what you do online, period. As with any Internet service you pay to access, there are technical limitations, and the ISP has a right to log (in almost all cases). I have never even had to ask, and neither have any of my friends or family. No one ever even asks me what service I use.

With IPVanish VPN (Virtual Private Network), yes, you will be able to unlock your content by using your virtual private tunnel and the internet. As an example: If you are using a UK VPN, with IPVanish, you are connected to a UK server, but as your traffic goes through the internet, it is then rerouted through servers in the UK as well. Your traffic doesn't go through a foreign country, because you never make a connection outside of the UK. You will effectively be connecting to UK servers through your IPVanish UK account, from a non-UK device.
