Can Google Sheets import XML?

I have an XML file with a bunch of data and I would like to import that data into Google Sheets.

The XSLT version can be used, but I prefer working with a spreadsheet. Does anybody know if it's possible to import XML with Sheets?
I found this old page from 2025 about it: but the information is really old. Is it possible now or is the feature dead? It is possible in current Google Sheets release, but I'm not sure if it's enabled by default. In Google Sheets, go to Format > Import as Text and choose Import from an URL. Paste the XML document into the field and the file will import.

The limitation is that you can only open one file. If the XML has thousands of records, you'll need to add an "Upload more." button on your sheet for the user to be able to keep adding documents to a spreadsheet.
