But will it be worth your while? How much money can you make per hour working at home for Amazon? Amazon is expanding the number of people who are eligible to work from home on its platform, including contractors. The company now has a job opportunity for contractors to work from home: Amazon's Home Services allows contractors to work remotely while fulfilling customer orders. Remote contractors can complete tasks such as delivering packages and picking up packages, and they can make deliveries anywhere in the U., according to a release.

At this time, the company says it's only opening the program to contractors in five U. States - Alabama, California, Florida, Texas and Washington.

What are the requirements to be considered for this program? As long as you live in one of those five states and you are at least 21 years old, you qualify. And of course, you have a current drivers license.

When will it open? The program is expected to launch on May 25. If you meet all of the qualifications, then you'll be able to apply. Once you get the go-ahead, you'll be able to take a training course. You'll also need to pass a background check and take a drug test.

How much money can I make? How much you can earn depends on your location, the services you offer, how many hours you work, the products you sell and the number of packages you deliver. But keep in mind that these rates don't apply if you decide to work on the platform full-time. In that case, you'll be paid a base hourly rate.

For the most part, it's this setup that allows Amazon workers to go home at the end of the day. For every completed pick-up you've placed an order for, you'll get your order and go home. Amazon may have the largest fulfilment centre operations in the world - with space for tens of thousands of items at once - but that doesn't mean they are using it.

The number of workers sent home at the end of the day varies depending on demand at a given moment. If there's a backlog of unfulfilled orders from customers, fewer people will be working that day.
