Well, aside from iTunes Lite (which you probably have on your iPod touch), I'm pretty sure iTunes can't by itself add new episodes to your movie collection unless you're willing to hook up some type of hard drive in your computer. On a PC, I believe FoxHomePlayer will let you watch them. But that doesn't apply to AppleTV.

In my mind, iTunes has only real value if you already had your shows downloaded on a backup disk (or have ripped your dvd). Since most of the content is already there. Make DVD's and watch them offline from your hard drive. If I had to guess, handheld devices get a big bit out of iTunes since they have really limited storage and less movies overall.
