Synology VPN server free?

I've enabled DHCP and assigned address 192.168.0.50 and subnet 255. It has worked well in the past for connecting from my laptop on vacation without a problem, but today when I try to connect from an office computer using the provided IP address, I get an error message saying that "Cannot find server for 192.141" - even though I'm connected using DHCP on my home router. My Synology was setup months ago so I don't really have any old settings to revert back to. If I turn off DNSMasq, is this just because you use a DNS service? If so, can you suggest something else? I currently have my office and home routers on vpn which is working but obviously not secure. Any ideas, greatly appreciated. Thanks
