What should I watch on Netflix for date night?

This is the type of movie to make people roll their eyes on date night.

It was actually quite funny, and I liked it a lot more than I had expected to.

We need to talk about a couple's relationship. There was one moment in particular that made me feel my heart beat pick up at a fast speed. It was a moment that I am sure most couples encounter with one another.

It just feels like we're on different pages. I feel this every time I talk about love and relationships, and I thought this might be something our readers could benefit from too. The following paragraphs are about the moments that happen with a certain amount of honesty in a normal, happy relationship.

The first thing you need to understand is that as much as you might think there's not going to be a problem, that's an extremely big problem if you don't speak up. The reason why is that these problems can escalate further than you expect them to.

The moment I was talking about happened like a scene from a movie. The two leads were sitting across from each other at a table in a restaurant. The guy, who is a great guy, looks down at the menu and looks up at his partner. It was a moment that shows he's feeling a little nervous about something.

His partner tries to look him in the eye, but fails at it as she struggles to understand what's going on. Then, he starts to say something that his partner is trying to decipher. He looks away when his partner asks him what it is that is bothering him. She then asks for the key to go and get him a glass of water.

As she opens the door to leave the room, he starts speaking to her about how he's so into her, but that she needs to start acting more like his true self in their relationship. Then, suddenly she snaps and tells him to go ahead and leave.

Once the door closes, they sit at the table in silence. The man starts to say, I just wasn't ready for you to go. He gets upset that she took the key to get a glass of water and to leave, but she takes the conversation on its own path. She says, That's fine.

What should couples watch on Netflix?

This question is so tough.

I'm so excited to be doing this series with you, but if I had to make a list of things couples watch, I'd have to say, a lot. We probably watch it more than we should. We're both huge movie buffs and have seen some really great stuff on Netflix. (I think we've watched every movie in the last 5 years.) We're always on the lookout for new movies. We watch a lot of stand-up comedy, too, so we also know about how good it is to watch someone else being funny. I've gotten so much enjoyment out of stand-up comedy that I have a hard time enjoying stand-up comedy when I'm not watching it with somebody else. So that's how we keep each other entertained and laughing.

I know that there's been some controversy about Netflix movies and whether or not they're appropriate for couples to watch. I think it's important to remind couples that Netflix is still new. The quality of the shows and movies varies wildly. There are some really great shows and movies, but there are some really terrible ones, too. Just like there are great restaurants and mediocre ones. You have to be discerning. I'm sure there are people who say that they don't want their partner to watch a movie or show they might be embarrassed by. For me, I think you can never have too many good movies. A lot of my favorites are on Netflix.

Here's my list of what we think are the best Netflix movies and shows. It's Not Always Easy. This is a perfect example of the diversity you can find on Netflix. This is a dark comedy about three single moms in Brooklyn. The characters are fantastic, the writing is hysterical and it was so incredibly moving.

When were watching this movie, my husband and I were laughing hysterically and tears were streaming down our faces. We were so moved by the story and the messages the film was trying to convey.

There are two other movies in this franchise. They are not as good as the first one. I will not recommend them. I don't want to give anyone the impression that they are all great, because they aren't.

What are the top 10 romantic movies on Netflix?

We analyzed the top 50 romantic movies on Netflix to find the perfect Netflix original love story for you.

Netflix may have started its journey with great ideas but now it is making serious headway as a company that has a serious stake in film. From its first foray into the movie business - The Break Up, a romantic comedy starring Michael Cera and Rosario Dawson that Netflix premiered at Sundance in 2026 - the streaming service has found its groove. Along the way, it hit gold with a string of hits that are all about love - Sleepless in Seattle, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Pitch Perfect, and one of the greatest rom-coms of all time, 500 Days of Summer.

Now, if there's one thing Netflix is excellent at, it's crafting great relationships and this is on full display in the streaming giant's top 50 romantic movies on Netflix list. They will inspire you and teach you so many things; from the ups and downs of being in a relationship to the meaning of love.

This means you don't need another cheesy rom-com. This list includes only real originals that we really enjoyed and if you want to know more about the process, why not keep scrolling for our review.

500 Days of Summer (2008). Director: Marc Webb. Screenwriters: Diablo Cody, Jon Lucas & Scott Moore. Starring: Zooey Deschanel & Joseph Gordon Levitt. This film may have been one of the strangest productions. Its lead actors, Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt came to the production halfway through and even made an impact with their offbeat ways. The chemistry between them - and the dialogue - is what made this story work. While it's been a few years since 500 Days Of Summer was released, it still stands out as one of the best films.

The Spectacular Now (2013). Director: James Ponsoldt. Screenwriter: Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber Starring: Miles Teller & Shailene Woodley. The Spectacular Now was the film that marked a shift in filmmaking - the coming of age film.
