How do I get Amazon data API?
If you want to use Amazon Product Advertising API, the first step is to create a Seller Central account.
This can be done through the seller central link, and will provide a username and password to log into the seller central account.
After creating an account, you can start to access your API credentials by going to the seller central account page. There are two ways to retrieve your API credentials: Use the API Explorer to obtain them. Create a simple PHP script to use the API explorer. After getting your API credentials, the next step is to set them up. Go to the seller central account page, and then click on the link for "Set Up API Keys". This will open a window with a list of API keys, including the Amazon Advertising API.
Now that you have your API credentials, you can go to the API Explorer, and start testing out the API.

Is there an Amazon API for products?
We've been able to write an API endpoint using Fulfilment API for orders, but that gives us total control over the process and doesn't give us any of the inventory details or product data we need to be able to identify them.
Is there a way to pull out this information from Amazon.com in some form? We've not found one yet. We're actually still looking for something like this! As we can't find an Amazon API specifically for products, how do we get started? There are a few ways to get started. One way is to use the Product Viewer as a starting point. This will at least allow you to browse and search within the categories to get a broad overview.
A second way is to use the Fulfilment API () to look at orders and shipments for items shipped by Amazon, and then get a list of identifiers for those items (ProductId, SKU etc.) Then you can go to and click the magnifying glass on the top right of the search box to see what other pages the Amazon products take you to.
Finally, you could just have a look at what other people have been up to, and look at their source code/screenshots etc to see what they did. How do we look up product data and inventory details from the web? Inventory details: Use the Product Details page (see first method) to search for the item you are interested in. Click 'More Information' at the bottom left of the list of search results. This brings up a page that shows you some more information on that product, with links to order/shipment details and so on.
You could try browsing the web for product images for that product (or whatever you are interested in). On an iPhone, for example, you can go to Amazon's web site to 'browse photos', and look for images of what you are interested in, and click to get the corresponding product detail page.
