Is there a free VPN for blocked internet?

How do I bypass blocked sites with VPN?

One day I am using web browsers for surfing different websites but suddenly when I open any website it is displaying the blocked page content for one reason or other. For example, there are hundreds of social networking websites for sharing fun with friends online but whenever I open any website from these social networking websites then it is showing me the blocked content due to any reason. Because all my passwords and other details are same but the website shows the different content which is not related to anyone I have ever known online. This thing has been happening for three months and when I open one Facebook profile it is showing me blocked message and many similar messages as there are some private pages also there. Also, when I use Google Chrome then it is getting blocked again and again but the internet connection is 100% okay because I use WiFi for browsing but suddenly my friend sends me a message on WhatsApp and Skype which is also not reaching to me then I got confused and worried. Then I think to try VPN for help but that time I know nothing about it so I don't search about VPN and even don't use VPN until now. But now I am using it for my problem. If you also don't know about it and you have used it just like that then I am explaining some of the methods you can use it easily. VPN is the virtual private network which allows you to unblock any site without getting banned. When you enter any specific URL into your browser for browsing then the server that you visit may be banned for some reasons and if you want to unblock that particular banned website than you have to use VPN. There are thousands of sites available in the internet where you can get the best benefits for yourself and even it will be helpful for others.

VPN (which means virtual private network) is the best solution for getting access to blocked content on your smartphone, laptop, desktop, mobile phone, tablets or smart TV. VPN protects you from cyber hacking as well. VPN has been created mainly to allow users to browse the internet securely and anonymously. Also, you can use it for accessing content that is otherwise blocked and also it helps to unblock geo-restricted content. In this post, I am going to discuss everything that you need to know about VPN.

First and foremost when you are about to select best VPN then you should know that how reliable it is. So, you should consider its speed, customer service, reliability, ease of use etc.

Is there a free VPN for blocked internet?

I need a free VPN that will let me use the internet without being blocked. It doesn't matter what service I use as long as it's free and works on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

I know about Hotspot Shield which lets you create your own personal VPN but it costs money. I'm not interested in paying money for a VPN service. That's why I was looking for a free VPN.

The only other thing I need is a way to browse around for a few minutes before I have to go back to my work computer at my office. I would need to connect to the internet on my work computer without having the work firewall block my connection to the internet.

I don't mind if the free VPN service would make the internet slower. If there are other services that would better then please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for all the great suggestions. The only ones I've heard of that aren't free are Private Internet Access, ExpressVPN, and FreeProxy. I also read that I can get anonymous IP address by using the Tor browser and downloading the NoScript extension. What do you think?

For what I want to do, I think I would use one of these methods. But how do I find out if it's safe to download the Tor browser? Will I still get hacked? I have a lot to learn.

Honey Pot and the Tor network may not be a bad idea. I'm using it right now. I had my firewall enabled on my home PC. But I'm using it as a proxy server and not a VPN. My home PC has 3 external IP addresses so the firewall won't block my connection to the internet when I'm using the honey pot.

Tor does not stop you from being hacked or compromised. All it does is mask your IP address. But if you don't protect your home computer like you should then you could very well get hacked. I'm sure there are other security flaws that come with having your firewall disabled. I'm not a security expert so I wouldn't know how to find those security flaws.

So if you don't trust yourself to keep your home computer secure, then don't install Tor on your home computer.
