In 2025, we are very excited to announce the Stremio for TV beta! Stay tuned to our newsletter to be informed. Why is it called beta? So far the only way to watch a video from Stremio on the go was from an Android TV box and that meant, of course, that if you didn't own an Android box, you couldn't enjoy watching videos from Stremio anywhere else than on a TV. It was a pity, of course, but now the solution is clear: we have a new Android TV box, designed especially for that purpose, which is Stremio for TV. And even better: with this box, people who don't own a regular Android box can enjoying video from Stremio on the TV just as well as those who do.

For those who own an Android TV box, the same procedure works, plus they can also watch the videos from Stremio on a mobile device like the Stremio mobile app (for iOS or Android). But that's not the only advantage. Stremio for TV allows for a better streaming experience and is less limited than before. We now have a high-quality Android TV which can also play games. So if you are going to buy a new TV, make sure it supports the Google Stadia controller, as then you'll also be able to enjoy the many game shows on Stremio with your Android phone on your couch.

How will I use it? You're going to need to install the Stremio TV software onto your connected TV and it will automatically configure itself. Make sure you have a WiFi connection, otherwise you won't be able to access content and play games (the exception being PS4).

The first time you open the app, it will ask you to sign in with your existing Stremio account, so be sure to have your password ready! If you already have Stremio installed on your device, you'll see a link Go to Stremio there. However, if not, you'll need to install the app first. This is a simple process.

How do I login to Stremio?

You should have received an e-mail confirmation of your Stremio account when you signed up.

To access Stremio's features, you need to be logged in. This is done by clicking the 'sign in' icon at the top right of your screen, which takes you to a web page with login details for Stremio. Here you can either sign in or create a new account (if you don't have an account). If you don't have an account, you can click the button at the bottom of the page which will lead you to a form which helps you create a new account. Once you are logged in to Stremio, you can go to your player and start watching content, or watch clips of live streams from all over the world. How do I get Stremio on my device? LG Smart TVs. Sony Smart TVs. XBOX One. Roku. Nvidia Shield. How do I delete Stremio? Delete your Stremio account if you no longer need it. Log into your Stremio account and navigate to the user tab. From here, select the red delete account button.

This will delete your Stremio account and you'll be left with just the default player. If you would like to keep some of your saved media, such as downloaded content, you can choose to archive your account. Click the 'Account' button, select 'settings' from the dropdown menu, then click 'Change Archive Settings' to turn this on or off. To turn on archive mode, check the box, 'Add saved media to your archive'. Then click save.

After you click on 'saved media', your files will be added to your archive and you can access them via the Stremio player. You'll be able to delete or access the content using the settings menu.

How to scan QR code Stremio?

I have a problem that it's not show any QR code. It's show only my name in the list. I don't have any QR code scanner. So I want to know how to scan QR code.

Answer. The QR codes are available in two types: 1) The "normal" or regular (traditional) QR code, and 2) the barcode version of a QR code. The standard QR code allows for a greater resolution than the barcode, but a barcode is also much more convenient and works with many different readers.

In Stremio, if the QR code is added, the QR code can be directly scanned using the camera button on your device. To scan the QR code, open the QR code reader by swiping right on the screen, then select the QR code from the reader.

I just used the QR code reader for my phone (Tizen OS) and it did find my QR code perfectly. I guess you have to make sure you have the correct QR reader (or web browser) installed on your smartphone.

I can only scan QR codes on my windows. Is it possible to make the QR code for me? Hi there. Unfortunately, it is not possible. The only option you have is to manually add a QR code for each video you want to share, in which case they can be found under the 'Add' section of your Stremio dashboard.
