How to fix error you don't have permission to access on this server?

Why is my access denied on this server in Safari?

Recently I am on my way to build a website, and while I was coding, my access to the file system was denied and everything I was working on was lost.

But luckily before closing my browser I was saved and I could access the .php files. Now I don't know how to fix the issue so that it doesn't happen again.

I've never gotten access denied in safari before and I'm assuming it has something to do with the file permissions in the folder or maybe something I have done incorrectly. In the past, I'd been hit by this on a very rare occasion. My guess is that perhaps something has modified the permissions of a parent directory or parent of a parent directory? Maybe you created a sandbox to play around and forgot about it? Are you making changes at all while logged into the site? Sometimes those settings will stick. If you make changes right after you log out and/or restart you should find yourself back in the clear, again.

Hope that helps!

How to fix error you don't have permission to access on this server?

You need to be a server administrator to do that.

sudo ufw disable. And try again. I'm not sure, but the command you use to check if FTP is enabled for remote connections (telnet or ftp) usually connects to 127.0.1 which is the local host and not your server IP. If that's the case, add the below to your /etc/hosts file to point the hosts.deny file to your server IP.

1 ipaddresshere. This should help you resolve the issue. I've tried every solutions mentioned here, and they didn't work for me. So I've found the reason behind. Grep ssh

00:03 /usr/sbin/sshd -D. Root 1877 675 1 06:20 pts/0 00:00 grep ssh. So what I think it could be a permission problem between root and sshd service on this server. The root user can not execute any commands from terminal until the sshd service has been executed successfully, that's why we need root permission to check if the service has been run or not. You will get the same error if you won't execute the command properly, or even if you haven't root permission to check anything on that server.
