Can I pull data from a website into Excel?

How do I automate data extraction in Excel?

I have a database with about 50,000 records that I need to extract data from.

The fields I want to extract are named as follows: Date. First Name. Last Name. When the date range is changed, I want to extract this data into a new Excel worksheet for that year. Is there an automated way to do this? Or is there any way to tell Excel to just export all the data to one worksheet? I'm not familiar with PowerQuery and VBThe easiest way is probably with the import function of MS Excel. Open the database (you can use Access to do this), select "import from the command line". Choose your file in the dialog box, choose your database, and check the box "Import data". After the import, you will have a .xlsx file, which contains all your data.

The file will be saved in the same folder as the database. You could then use OpenOffice Impress to show the data in a table.

There is no need for automation.

How to extract data from a website for free?

Hi there.

I'm using a service provided by my university. They allow you to view data via a certain web browser (which you have to download from the website).

This requires cookies which will automatically be deleted after 5 minutes. They give me a url to the data which I can just copy and paste into a browser and get what I need. (example: ). But in order for them to give me the url they want me to login. I go to the homepage of the service and enter my email, I'm asked to enter a password and I'm back at the homepage. Now I'm able to login but still have to go to the url that they give me and copy and paste it.

Is there any way I can automate this process? I don't mind downloading a special browser but I have no clue how to write the codes that are needed. I only need the "Lohntreuewellen" data from this website. I appreciate your help! I ended up using selenium webdriver. It is python language based tool and very easy to use, you can also install firefox or chrome extensions if you need more functionalities.

How to extract data from website to Excel automatically free?

I have a website in which I want to extract data automatically from it to Excel.

However, the data on that website doesn't fit exactly in a spreadsheet like what it does with all other websites, I need to make a loop for every row of my spreadsheet.

Is there any website which takes your inputs and extracts that data automatically for you? This is possible. The best program for this job would be Html Agility Pack.

You can also check the below link: ).aspx It has code snippets with details on how to download this XML file (which is what the ASP.Net Web API returns) as a CSV file and how to write the data into an Excel spreadsheet.

Can I pull data from a website into Excel?

When a user clicks a button on our website, the data is pulled into a web form, saved to a local database, then emailed to the user.

However, after doing this, I'd like to pull that data into Excel. The data may not be available in Excel because the user will be copying it into an Excel spreadsheet. Is it possible to pull the data into Excel from the webpage after the data has been pulled from the local database and emailed to the user?

You can use either Java or .Net technology to fetch data from a webpage and send it to excel (you didn't specify which technology you used so I'm assuming java).

This tutorial describes how to do this for java, with a little tweaking it can be used to do the same for .net.
