Does Chrome still run on Windows 7?

Which version of Chrome is best for Windows 7?

Chrome 12 is not better on Win7 than Chrome 11, because both run on the same version of the web browser engine (WebKit 518). However Chrome 12 was introduced with some improvements like speed and a redesigned interface that are not yet present in the earlier version.

I have found Chrome to run much better in Windows 8 than Windows 7, but I can't tell if it is better than Chrome 11. Google's official release highlights the changes in their update history for Chrome. They're saying Google Chrome 12 runs faster, more fluidly, and is more stable (among other features).

That being said, you could also download the latest version of Chrome from their website. The latest Beta build is 13.0.1214.2 dev.

I'm the OP I've posted this question, I'm answering it now but just so anyone can see this question and see a direct answer from me. When starting chrome right now I did indeed notice it felt smoother and more responsive than before!

Does Chrome still run on Windows 7?

I just installed Chrome 32.

0.1700.107 on a Windows 7 installation and it works well, even though Microsoft officially dropped support for the older OS versions.

I am wondering: How do you know that? That is not a valid release number. As far as I know the latest version of chrome can be downloaded here directly and it is for Windows 10.

I don't know whether that's the most current available version (for Windows 7 or Windows 10), but I'd just say "it'll work with any Chrome release to date" (and "in general", even if a specific piece of software does not claim to be the latest). As an aside, I'd say a quick Google search of "version history windows chrome" should provide what you want. For example (not the entire page, just the table containing some relevant info): Quote: Version History. 0

Can I install Chrome OS on Windows 7?

If yes, is it as stable as on a Mac and does the OS work well with Windows7. So for the last year I have used Chrome OS and liked it a lot. It's been a blessing when needed as a web-based browser, email client and video player. But over the last six months or so, it has gotten slow after running some other software on it. It was getting so bad at the beginning of this year that I decided to start over again, since I had my MacBook Air and my iMac from before and that computer still has an old hard-drive in it. I did a clean installation of Windows 7 on it, but while it had been an easy transition to use OS X, it wasn't so easy to switch back to Windows. I started trying all of these different web based browsers and nothing worked like Chrome OS did, even my older version of Firefox on Windows XP. Also, Chrome OS works great if there are any apps that need to be stored locally on the computer (in the case of music and movies). I decided to give Chrome OS another try and this time do a clean install. The problem is that the OS will only install on computers that have 8GB or more of free space available on the disk. I had installed my previous Mac that had OS X 10.5 on it and it had 3.5 GB of free space left on the disk. But it wouldn't install there and I didn't know what I should do. My new windows 7 machine had 5.7 GB of free space and I thought, "This is it. I'm installing Chrome OS!" As you can imagine, that's not an option. I thought that I would be able to use the same procedure on my new Windows 7 PC and install Chrome OS, but I could not find a guide online and I could not figure it out. So the only way I could get Chrome OS installed was to take a DVD of OS X, which is about 1.5 GB, burn it to a disk and then use that disc to install OS X on the free space on my disk. But what about Windows 7? How can you install Chrome OS with Windows 7? I hope I can find a solution online that will tell me how to do this.

Yes, you can install Chrome OS on Windows 7.

I need to change my email address from AOL to Gmail. I downloaded the new version of Chrome for windows 7 and ran it and it asked me to change my email address. Then it prompted me to install some updates. I ran the update but it did not change my email address. So what is the next step for me to do? Please help!

What is your current version number? What operating system is on your computer? Which operating system is being used to download Chrome for Windows 7? Are you currently using another browser (for example IE)? Did you try and install/upgrade the update after changing your email address? The post above was from the author, a paid member, I can read the posts you make. What operating system is being used to download Chrome for Windows 7? Are you currently using another browser (for example IE)? I am currently using Firefox for Windows 7 and I just installed Google Chrome. I downloaded the file from Google's website and ran it. It prompted me to change my email address, then it prompted me to install some updates. I ran the update, but it did not change my email address.

I tried installing Chrome and when it started the process it told me that it was installing some updates. I tried installing all of them and I got no errors. When the program ended, it didn't change my email address. It still had the old one and my email address is still AOL. So, what's going on here?
