Can I see a satellite view in real-time?
How do I access the map?
You can view a map of the area in the real-time. The map is found on the upper right side of the page. You will also find a map button on the left side of the page.
How do I add a new region to my search map? You can click the Add a Region button to the right of the map. When you are done, you will see your additions in the list to the right. You can delete items as you see fit.
Why don't the map items match my results? Sometimes when you first add a region, items that do not match your search will come up. This is because Google may not have a listing for your search yet. If you wish to have this change immediately, you can clear all regions and add your search again.
What do the different icons mean? The different icons show which types of listings are available for your search. Different icons will show you listings from different sources.
When I see more than one icon, what does that mean? You may see more than one icon for listings on your search. This usually means the listing is from more than one source. One source of the listing is listed by only one icon.
Can I delete or change a listing? Yes. When you click on an icon it will bring up the option to delete or change the listing.
What about the colored dots in the search results? When you hover over the dots, you will see they are different colors depending on the listing type. There are no color differences in the results.
How can I see my home in real-time?
If you're buying or selling a home, you can see how much it's going for in real-time on Your Home Value.
Get a free estimate of your home's value, compare it with others, and make an informed decision. You can also sign up to receive alerts about properties that meet your criteria.
How will I know if the house sold? You'll get an email letting you know if and when the property you want has sold. You can also find out more about the previous owners and what sold for in the property market. How can I view and register documents about my property? You'll receive an email every time a document is submitted to the Land Titles Office, as well as from when you apply to register or buy your home, so you'll never miss a step. You can also view and register all the documents at a single place. Will the home valuation be accurate? When your home is first listed for sale, you can ask the Department of Finance to provide a free property appraisal to give you more information on the value of your home. It's called a Home Value Inspection and it's done by the Property Valuer.
At a later date, the department may provide an updated value. What if I'm not happy with the valuation? The valuation that's provided may be based on the most recent valuations, property sales or prices for similar properties. If you don't agree with the valuation, or think the valuation was done incorrectly, you can contact the Property Valuer.
The Property Valuer will look into the issues you have raised, and if necessary, contact the valuer's manager to get an explanation of the valuation method. What does comparable valuation mean? It means that the valuation of the home will be calculated based on the value of a similar home in a similar neighbourhood. If you would like to speak to someone about the valuation please call the Property Valuer.
