Can I get my money back from Google Play gift card?
I recently upgraded my Nexus 5 by using Play Store to the "One Plus" version.
Now, my concern is that can I ask for a refund from Google play gift card? The reason why I need to do this is because when I went to the cash on delivery store in my country, they did not give me the money back when I did not use it within a week. Is Google Play gift card redeemable as cash? That is my other concern, because if it is not, can I ask them to refund me back? If yes, how would I get it from them? The Play Store store only works with purchases and Google Play gift card is redeemed without any purchases. All your payment can be found on your payment history within the Play Store. Google will not send you an email from the Play Store when you have no charge. You will get notified as usual after all your payment is paid.
If you don't need the Play Store, then you can download the apps that require payment. But not many. And you should always save your payment so you don't need to use those applications in the future, right?
Well, there is nothing you could do if you do not receive the money for whatever reasons, but you should always be ready with your payment details in case you do not use the Play Store for a few months. Otherwise, you can still contact support if you're in Malaysia. If the Play Store payment history shows you having a credit of RM5,000 or above, we'll automatically assume that this purchase didn't go through and contact us for assistance.
We'll just give them 30 days of grace period and they might do it. You can try contacting through Play Store, if you're unsure.
In my country (Vietnam) the situation is not that lucky. Google Play gift cards cannot be used for anything other than recharging your device. If you are using the Play Store for mobile recharging only, you may keep an unused balance of the gift cards as long as you wish. In case you need that for something else, please just take the gift card back to the Play Store for cancellation as this will destroy any redeemable value of the card.
My friend has some leftover credit card gift cards that she got from the store he works at. I had asked him if he knew of anything that he could do with them.
