What if Amazon seller is not giving refund?

Recently, I was an Amazon seller and as well as a seller on Ebay, however, I have never tried Ebay.

I have not bought anything on Ebay. But I have many clients who buy my products on Ebay. I know that Ebay is a different market from Amazon. However, I found a lot of clients don't pay refund on Ebay and they just make order by payment card directly from ebay. And I want to know what will happen if they not paying refund and making order directly from ebay. The money is mine but the product is theirs. So how can I protect my product and me?

I have sent many emails to client via PayPal requesting them to pay refund to me, but no reply. I tried to open dispute on my Amazon seller account to ask for them to pay refund to me. But there's no dispute option on my seller account. Do you have any idea? Thank you very much.

Comments: The reason why I did not send email to my clients asking for refund is because I was afraid of them to open dispute on Amazon seller account. I was afraid that they will open dispute on my seller account and this will affect their account.

If you want to use dispute, you need to do so from the account which has the disputed purchase. I would not suggest to send email to your clients. If you send such email, it will automatically open dispute, even if the user does not open dispute on their account.

As you already said, it's different market and it's difficult to get the money back. But in some way, you have some options.

When a buyer makes an order, the seller will receive two emails in order to complete the transaction: After receiving email #1, the seller must send email #2. In this email #2, the seller must state: 1) If the buyer is requesting a refund. 2) If the seller is requesting a refund. 3) If both are requesting a refund. The seller must also provide the reason(s) for the refund. As you mentioned that you have already sent emails requesting refund, please be sure that you provided enough information to the buyer to explain why they are requesting refund. It's possible that they have received email #2 but didn't understand it.

What happens if Amazon refuses to refund?

I purchased a pair of shoes from the Amazon store and received a different pair than what I ordered.

A new report claims that customers are being shortchanged in refunds after purchasing items on the Australian website, with a new analysis from consumer advocates revealing that the amount being refunded has dropped by more than half in just one year.

New research from the non-profit Consumer Action Law Center alleges that Amazon Australia has cut its refund rate from 56 to 28 per cent in just one year. It claims that consumers are not being properly informed about their refund options and alleges that the refund process at Amazon is disingenuous, and that consumers are losing money as a result of Amazon's bad practices. However, the company did not specify how many items it actually returned to those who requested refunds.

To take that figure, you have to assume that there were 100,000 refunds that people got for Amazon.au, which is only a number of people at Amazon, as compared to, say, 30 million transactions.

So to assume that everybody got their refund at the same rate seems unrealistic. What does the report say happened?

We're setting up an e-commerce site with a big seller in China.

The Amazon seller's price for the product is about twice ours (which is way too high). Amazon does not allow third party sellers to set their own prices, so we have to go with the official price.

Our problem is that we have a lot of competing products that have almost the same specifications, and the seller seems to be constantly changing the specification. We've emailed our Amazon seller support team twice and we've gotten no responses.

Is there a chance that the seller will just keep increasing the price and we'll be stuck with a losing deal? Amazon offers several protection mechanisms to protect buyers and sellers in case of a price difference between two sellers. When the price difference is less than 2% it will automatically be reduced. If you can't afford a price difference of more than 5% then you can take it to Amazon's Price Match Guarantee and if they agree with your price match request they will refund your money.
