What do I do if my phone number is already in use in Overwatch 2?

How do I unlink my phone number from another phone?

I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 with the Android 6.

0.1 version of the OS, but I recently had the misfortune of being "stolen" by a thief, and he took my phone with him. He left my SIM card in the phone (it has been with him for a while, but he never used it), and my phone has the number of a friend that I have known for almost a year. My friend is aware that I am without a phone, but I have not told her why, and I would like to be able to call her without her knowing the number I am calling from.

I tried calling her, but because she does not know I am without a phone, her phone did not pick up my call. I was wondering if there is a way to unlink my phone from hers, and still have the number available so I can use it, without her knowing I am using a borrowed phone? That's a shame, because you'd think that someone who stole your phone would want to return it as well as make sure it doesn't ring. DontsaythatNov 30 '13 at 15:30. 2

You should look into installing some sort of security software on the phone. Find something that will alert you when your phone is stolen. Then, once you find your phone, you'll have the number and cancel any service at your new location.

The only way to save your information is to use your phone as a prepaid (unlimited usage) or pay-as-you-go (limited minutes) phone. The best option is to sell the phone as soon as you can.

You could also register another SIM card with a new phone number, and install a phone app that would allow you to control the phone remotely. You could then switch the SIM card at the store where you bought the phone, making it look like you changed phones.

If the number didn't appear by the time your first game had ended, don't panic; we've got your back.

We'll be checking regularly to make sure your number is actually available please check back in to this post for updates. If the number doesn't show up within an hour or two, do let us know and we'll get it sorted out ASAP.

How will I know if my number is in use? When you receive a new Overwatch 2 invite, select it from the dropdown list or simply tap 'Invite' from your app's main menu. Your phone number will show up in the main invite window and be ready to go. If you have multiple phone numbers, you can easily select them all at once when you make your choice!

Why does Battle.net say my phone number is already in use?

I was trying to sign in to Battle.

Net, and there was a huge popup that said: If your phone number is already in use, it may mean that someone already signed into Battle.net using your phone number.

This made me think that the number must have been used before, but when I tried to sign in from my other computer, it still said "Number already in use." Even though there is no one else logged into my account on the internet. Does anyone know why this happens?

Battle.net doesn't care about you having a single computer on your internet address. It can be any computer and does not need to be the one you logged in from last. You must have had some other device logged in at the same time for that to happen. It won't matter if you haven't used your number since then.

We've got a couple of threads that can be found here: In case you're interested, a link to what has been suggested and what has been implemented. There is no guarantee in the number of accounts you have, nor what devices you have logged in on that day. Some days it's not even an issue, while other days every person who logs on with the device gets the issue. It just depends on if there are people active or not at the time.

My number is NOT in use by anyone else. I don't even use it, never have. I've been signed into battle net in the past, however.

Doesn't matter if it's been a while since you've used it as long as it's NOT been in use for awhile. It's probably something on their end as I haven't seen this issue before, but it's always happened to me as well when I've signed in from a different device at the same time and used the same phone number. I just had this happen again. I was signed in on my PS3 last night, and when I got home this morning, it said that my number was already in use. I tried signing in on the computer again, and it worked.

I've never had it be an issue, so I'm guessing something has to be done to fix it.
