Is it worth paying for Hulu live TV?
I have an over the air TV, so I think live TV would be amazing, but it has yet to happen.
There is currently no live TV on Netflix, either. Is the price worth it?99 per month. That includes a bundle of four different live channels: FOX News, USA, Disney Channel, and ESPN.99/month, you are getting your local ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC affiliate as well as one premium channel (Disney Channel), two streaming only channels (ESPN and Disney Junior) and live channels through Uverse and/or AT&T Uverse TV (FOX, NBC, CW, CMT and Hallmark).
At these prices, I feel like it's worth it, especially if you are a big streaming media fan. There are so many free resources out there for streaming there's no way to compare how much you really pay for live TV vs. Being on a streaming service. I would argue that paying that much more isn't a huge risk.
If you don't use Hulu, then that brings the price down significantly. Here's a snapshot of how you can get live channels on Hulu: Local affiliate: This is what we typically call your local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC affiliate. It includes the local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliate channels. Premium channels: Here are any premium channels that aren't also in the local affiliate package: USA Action, A&E Biography, AMC Classics, ABC Family, A&E Indie, Animal Planet, BET, CBS Sports HQ, Cinemax Action & Premiere, Discovery Science, HGTV Classic, History, Home & Garden, Investigation Discovery, MTV Classic, MTV2, Netflix, Nick Jr.
Is Hulu still free with Amazon Prime?
How to use your free Amazon Prime account
Hulu is great, but the streaming video service doesn't come free with Amazon Prime.
And you'll be paying for it anyway. I am a long-time Prime member, so the benefits of the subscription more than 10 million TV episodes and movies; free 2-day shipping; special offers from retailers and restaurants; one-click ordering to Whole Foods Market; easy photo sharing; and more are all worth paying for.
And that's why I'm not going to recommend that you cancel the subscription and instead take advantage of Hulu's free tier, which lets you access ad-supported Hulu shows and select movies without logging in. Why Hulu will benefit you, even if you don't get Amazon Prime. When you sign up for Amazon Prime, you gain access to other perks, like unlimited free two-day shipping, discounts at Whole Foods Market and third-party sellers, free unlimited photo storage on Amazon Cloud Drive and access to unlimited free storage at AWS (Amazon Web Services). Amazon Prime members also get free shipping on select purchases and discounts of up to 20 percent on some items from a catalog of thousands of companies that sell products on Amazon.
Some of the perks are more beneficial than others. For example, if you don't really need the shipping benefits, there's no reason to pay for it, but people who really enjoy Amazon's curated selection might get much out of Amazon Prime.
But if you are a loyal Amazon Prime member and you want to take advantage of everything that's offered including Hulu you should pay for Amazon Prime. And if you don't have a Hulu subscription, it's worth checking out Hulu's other options.
