Why won't my PureVPN open?
I set up this PureVPN with a very expensive new router as a home VPN (yes, I know it should be a Windows PC - but I wanted to use something that's completely compatible with both windows and Mac PCs). After going through the hassle of getting rid of my internet modem/router and configuring my Wi-Fi (it was soooo easy to do in Linux, I swear) I finally was able to get my PureVPN to work. Now I want to have my computers on different Wi-Fi networks that the PureVPN is plugged into, while I can get internet access through it from another part of my home. But when I open my PureVPN, it won't connect to my network. At all. If I reboot, it will attempt to do so, but fail. If I shut down with the VPN still working (still attempting to open), it starts fine the next time.
I think I have narrowed it down to the firewall. There is no firewall allowed by default in the PureVPN client. It works well without. But if I do allow an open port, my computer's network access gets cut off. Even though when I log in to the PureVPN I see a screen like this.
I also tried this on Windows 7, 8, and 10, running from VirtualBox/Vagrant, from physical boxes, as well as my Android phone on the same network. It always asks me to put in a login/password and enter "connect" as that's all that's shown on the log-in screen after I put the name and username. I can't type anything. But I still get an IP address. The VPN does seem to be working and all of my settings have been stored, however, there's nothing to tell me what IP addresses and what security settings (I don't have any right now). I only have 1 option for connections (there should be 3 - I'd expect there'd be one for internal, one for my other network, and then the first one to the real internet) but they have no options. The connection just turns into a steady grey box.
So, I'm using a router based on the Qualcomm Atheros AR9331 chip. I have 2 sets of USB Nodes. One set contains four 2T3R Wemo smart plugs, while the other contains a TP-Link WR743N wireless AC router.
Why is my PureVPN not connecting?
The PureVPN network is designed to be resilient, with fast servers and many IP locations spread around the globe.
You might be having trouble connecting to your PureVPN server because the load on your connection is too high and the VPN provider is unable to handle it. In this case, please try switching to another server or changing the setting 'Advanced Mode' for the best performance. If you are still unable to connect to the server, please contact us at customer-service@purevpn.com.
I am connected, but can't access my network resources. What do I do? In general, there are two possible causes of such issue: When you are connected to the VPN server, it cannot successfully access network resources, but it can successfully receive network connections. VPN server disconnects due to a system crash and has not recovered yet. This issue can be caused by a VPN server that has had a malfunction or by a third party that has attacked it.
If your VPN provider provides a support team, please contact them immediately. Otherwise, if you are sure the VPN server is fine, please try restarting the network devices, and let us know if you are still unable to connect.
Can I cancel my PureVPN subscription? Sure! While most companies offer the opportunity to cancel your account, if you sign up for a PureVPN subscription, you can enjoy the best VPN service for three years. Furthermore, you can also upgrade to a Premium account at any time.

What is the error code for VPN connection failed?
Hello.
I am using Windows 7. I just bought a new router and I am using a VPN connection to access my office network. The connection is working fine but after some time the connection becomes failed. I am using Cisco IPsec VPN Client to connect to the VPN. Below is the error message that I receive when I try to reconnect.
I tried to install the new version of VPN client and I am still getting the same error. This is an extremely common issue with Cisco IPsec VPN Client on Windows 7. It happens because there are no updates available for your Cisco VPN Client software. This means that there is no latest update available for your Cisco VPN Client software.
The solution is simple. Go to the Cisco VPN Client website () and download the latest updates for your Cisco VPN Client software.
I have a Cisco ASA 9.x with Cisco VPN client installed. I was able to create VPN connections with the client and I used Cisco IOS software. When I got to the Cisco VPN Client setup page, I could not get to the "Create a new VPN Connection" page. I was able to access the VPN client software by going to the IP address of the Cisco ASA, which was 10. When I went to the VPN client setup page, it showed a green "Configure VPN Connection" button, but when I clicked the button it went to the previous page and gave me the error "The connection to the VPN Server has failed."
I looked at the log file and it showed a failure with "Bad key length." When I tried to recreate the connection, it did not work. I created a new ASA using the same firmware and it worked. What's going on?
Hi All. I have an issue with the cisco vpn client on my win7 machine. I am able to create a vpn connection in the client, but when I click on connect, nothing happens. The client just shows the following message:
I can't even ping the destination of the VPN connection, but I can ping from one side to the other.
