Can I get a refund for IPVanish?
The simple answer is no.
IPVanish isn't a service that can give you a refund for your time. And even if it did, you'd probably get the refund before you received the refund for your time.
However, the fact that it's an unprofitable company doesn't mean that it won't be profitable in the future. That's not how unprofitable companies become profitable. Or, as I said above, that they won't be profitable in the future. So the simple answer is not no. It's "probably not".
IPVanish is one of many VPN companies out there, but it's by far the largest and most well-known. It will be up against other larger companies for many years to come. It will be competing for the attention of other consumers with free plans, a great community of users, a strong brand, and so on. This will have an impact on its sales, which will in turn have an impact on its profits, which will in turn have an impact on its ability to pay you back. Whether it can keep paying you back will depend entirely on how well it does and what the future of this industry looks like.
So in short, the answer to your question is "yes, they'll probably pay you back, but you might have to wait a while".
How do I disable IPVanish?
I am a member of the free, ad-free version of IPVanish, which I use primarily on my home network.
It seems to have some advantages that others don't, but they are quite mild compared to the tradeoffs. So, I don't feel comfortable using it on a corporate environment.
I'm in the free version. I still receive ads and have seen some of them. Is there a way to prevent IPVanish from sending data through my internet connection?
We can't guarantee the security of any VPN service. What you download is unencrypted, so anybody with network access could get your IP address and possibly read any content you send over the internet. A lot of VPNs advertise that they hide your location, but they can't change your IP address to make it seem like you're somewhere else. The only surefire way to avoid seeing these warnings is to not visit any websites at all. If you absolutely need to, there's always a way to do it without leaving a trace.
It's not as simple as it sounds. Yes, you can stop visiting websites, but your email provider, your webmail service, your chat services, and maybe even your ISP could still see you. What about the fact that you can just as easily open a new, fake, website in your name, send email from that site, or access chat rooms from those sites? And then there's the real problem: most VPN services are designed to keep up with the IP changes of a website, not the DNS changes of the Domain Name System.
What should you do instead? Avoid VPN services altogether. You can still use a secure proxy service to browse the internet, use a good firewall, and configure your web browser so that it blocks third-party cookies. Don't forget to disconnect when you're done!
A lot of VPNs claim that they provide confidentiality, anonymity, and privacy and that they'll protect your identity when you connect to one. To say that these are meaningless terms is just wrong.
How do I cancel my subscription to IPVanish?
If you have a subscription to IPVanish, there's not a lot you need to do.
However, if you want to cancel your subscription, you can follow these steps. Cancel your IPVanish account. First of all, you'll need to login to the IPVanish website. Cancel your IPVanish subscription. It's also worth mentioning that you cancel your IPVanish account any time you want. But if you'd like to cancel your IPVanish account but don't want to use another VPN provider, you can use the process described above.
Your IPVanish billing information. The subscription management section of your IPVanish account allows you to view your subscription details and information on how much data you've used on your VPN service. However, you should know that only your billing information is accessible via the IPVanish website, and not your personal information, payment information, or other data that may be stored elsewhere.
Is my data secure? IPVanish protects your privacy and security. When you connect to our service, you are redirected through one of our servers in the United States. This means that you can browse the web safely and securely without ever revealing your identity.
How do I change my settings? You can access your IPVanish settings at any time by going to the Account page on your IPVanish account. To edit your account settings, click the My Account tab and select Manage.
The IPVanish Settings page allows you to view and change the following account information: Subscription type. Billing frequency. Subscription length. Your email address. Device connection information. Logging and notification.
