Can you locate someone by phone number on Google Maps?
I'm not being flippant; it is something that I need to check in a day or two.
So, I decided to search for one of our friends who I can't track down by his real name. The phone number was his wife's cell phone and her number is listed on her Google profile.
I started at the address of her Google profile and entered his name. After a few minutes, I began to see phone number records on this listing. Some were inbound calls and some were outbound. So, I clicked on his profile and was taken to the phone listing. It was an older map based on a 2025 street view. This was helpful because I needed to start somewhere and since this is a mobile phone listing, it is helpful to get a feel for the street of the house.
I tried calling the cell phone listed on the Google account but it just rang and rang. I tried looking for the cell phone provider's website. I couldn't find it. I then decided to try to locate the street view. I found it in a matter of minutes.
I found it on the satellite street view. I then zoomed in on the road I was interested in finding and discovered that the satellite view showed a house, which appeared to be vacant, on the corner of a dead end street. So, I had a few different scenarios for the friend and I could only determine which one was most likely based on the Google Maps listing.
Now I had a place to start and all I had to do was find the friend's address. For those of you with a Google account, you can see the entire scenario here, for those of you without a Google account, it will be shown as a YouTube link in the text below.
YouTube Video of Interest. A lot of you have probably been using Google's Street View feature lately. At first, I had no idea what it was or how it worked. But, as you use it, you will begin to notice that it allows you to quickly and easily see places you visited before. And, if you go back to a location, there is a good chance you are going to see another location there, sometimes a third or fourth. You are also able to see places you haven't visited yet.
Street View was recently used to find the location of a missing person.
Can I track a phone number location for free?
I have an idea, where people can text a number to get their contact's address.
When this site launches (hopefully in the coming months), will I be able to use this data for free, or is it some type of "premium" service that requires a subscription? That is one of the many things that annoy me about the world wide web. How come some services are free (eg Google) and some have a yearly fee associated with them (eg Facebook).
I don't know what I want to do. I want to sell something, like mobile app, I don't know, maybe a tracking device.
Can anyone help me out. Can I do this free or can I use it only if people subscribe? 2 Answers.
No, unless you offer an information exchange with someone which could lead to a paid service at a later date. You basically have to choose between not doing that and being forced to pay.
Note, that there are different types of "free" data services and it is always important to understand which ones. Often a one-off usage of any kind of service has to be paid for, eg you pay for the text messages while you send one, which are not sent for the use of your phone with a prepaid SIM card.
To prevent the creation of a "pay first, ask later" business model it makes sense that these costs have to be paid for up front and/or in real time so you do not have to decide to pay much later. This could mean that they need to charge for a certain number of text messages a day, or for each usage of a service, or for every person you send or receive messages or contacts or something similar.
Also, it should be clear whether the service is "free" because of advertisement ("give me something for free in exchange of advertising") or because there are no costs, such as sending SMS messages for the sole use of a user (although, as I noted before, there are often also charges). In short, any way that you provide access to the users' data is a paid service. The idea behind providing phone numbers/names and addresses for free is exactly for advertising. A few people will pay for it (you can guess who) but that would be the case for all advertising of the same type: TV commercials, magazine ads, etc.
How to locate a phone using Google Maps?
When you want to search for a phone, how do you locate it using Google Maps?
Is it possible? Google Maps does not provide such an option yet. Google maps provides a method to search by address using the search bar. But searching a phone number is not possible yet. There are ways to do it using Google Maps for iPhone. But no such way exists for Android.
There is an app called Maps. But it is not like Google Maps. It is not as good as Google Maps. I tried the app myself. It is not at all like Google Maps.
Also, there is another app called Goto. The app will give you the address of the phone and if it is in your area, you can also see the phone visually. However, you have to register for the app to use it.
Also, there are apps like Find My Phone and Where is my phone. These apps use Wi-Fi connection to detect a device that is being used nearby. These apps are very helpful when you are lost. They can also track a lost device.
So, how do you locate a phone using Google Maps? The solution is actually simple. It's called Google Phone Lookup. This is an official Google app available in the Play Store. It can be used on both Android and iOS. I tried it on my Galaxy S8 as well as my iPhone 7. And it worked perfectly.
Now, let us see how this works. Open Google Maps. On the top left side of the app, click the three dots icon. Click More. Click on Locate My Phone. Now tap the phone number and the app will show you the phone visually. You can also search the location of the phone visually from the map. Now, just tap on the arrow to go back. How to Find a Phone Using Google Maps? This app is simple. It is not difficult at all. You just have to follow the steps mentioned above.
Google Maps' official app allows you to use this service to find the location of your phone.
How to locate a phone using phone number?
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phone.
I just purchased it but I can't find how to locate it in my area. I don't have GPS installed and I don't know what number is registered in my area. I tried searching in the number but I don't know what to search in there.
Re: ? In Android, you could go to dialer and look for the phone number you have stored as your own. It should be a three digit number followed by a minus and the phone number you want to use. If you do not have a number stored, the Google Maps app will search for you and give you a number.
When the number is found, simply enter it in the number field on your phone. Note that it may take up to an hour for Google to complete the search, so give it time. However, if you want to use a different number, then you need to switch to your contacts app (press and hold the home button and select "Contacts"). Find the person on your phone and click the icon to bring up the edit contact screen. Then, in the "Phone" field, enter the new number you want to use.
I hope this helps. "I'm thinking about ways to get the most out of my new device and share what I learn here. So please feel free to join in with your own tips and suggestions. " - Jeff Attwood
No, there's no way to look up a phone number in a certain area. The number is always tied to the SIM card used.
If you have any luck at all finding a number that belongs to the phone you want to locate, you can call it. From there, it should tell you which service provider your phone is using, and you can call them to have them run a reverse lookup on the number. It won't tell you the area where the number was issued from, but it will show you the city where the person whose number it is used.
The phone's number is tied to a SIM card, not to a physical device. The number you are looking for is likely the one of the service provider.
