How do I delete my Family Link account as a child?

How do I delete Family Link without parent?

I recently set up Family Link for my parents.

I was told that if they created a new account, it would be linked with mine. I then realized this was the issue and went to Family Link to delete the account but I could not find it. It only said "Family link has been changed or deleted. You need to verify you are still on Family Link." and no other details as to why. I am on the family website now and am able to edit family members but cannot get rid of them.

I have tried everything from deleting their email address, changing the password etc and I still cannot find it. It would be a major problem if I could not update or access any information about their family. How do I go about getting rid of this family account?

Family Link is your parent's Family Account. Deleting it does not automatically delete your family members. As you've seen, they need to visit the Family Site first.

Visit. Click on the "Sign In" link. Enter their Facebook account info. The site will ask to allow their personal information to be shared with them. Click "Allow".

Click on the "Change Password" link. Enter your own password and click "Change". Change the "Family member" email address you want to use. Select the option for "New password sent to new Family member". Now you should be able to log in as your parent, and change their password, and remove them as a Family member. If you don't have access to this account, you should try contacting them directly and explain the issue. If you already know their password, you can also try resetting their password. If you still need help, there are several online tools you can use.

When you start an email conversation with Google, it automatically changes your account setting from child to normal.

If you want to change that setting yourself, first make sure that only a child/kids with the name google in your G Suite account are enabled.

You can also use our Google account settings app to do so: Steps to reset the child to normal settings. Open our G Suite settings app. Tap Access Accounts. Tap Manage Child Account to open a list of child accounts for your Google account. Tap the account you want to change, and then tap Manage to edit the settings. When you want to reset your account back to the child account setting, simply open our app and change it back to Normal. If you didn't make any changes to this settings for this account, no need to worry, this will not mess up your other settings or notifications.
