Is Thunder VPN app safe?
The new version of the Thunder VPN is coming up this Friday, February 23, and I can tell you from my experience that it's safe.
The VPN app was always safe from the beginning, but with this new update they've made it even more safe. The reason for the update is that I got an email from a user who wanted to verify their email address.
So the app sends you an email asking for your email address and your name. Your email and name are stored, and if the person's email address or name changes, so will your email. But it's pretty secure.
I tested the email feature. Thunder is the only client I know of that has an email verification feature on their app. In fact, you cannot open the app without logging in.
You have to send an email to support@thundervpn.com and they will check it for you. That way, when someone says they changed their email, you can change it too and keep everyone updated.
I tested it, and it worked. It was easy, and I can't wait to try it.
When are you getting a new smartphone? I don't have an iPhone or an Android. Well, actually I do have an iPhone, but I didn't renew my contract for another year, so I haven't used it in a while.
I just signed a new contract with Sprint for one of their phones. I'm not too sure what it's going to be, but I'm expecting an Android since I like them better.
Why don't you use one of those devices that let you pick from a huge number of smartphones? Wouldn't that be easier? Well, I like the idea, but I tried a lot of them, and I wasn't impressed. I tried the Samsung Note 2 that I bought from the Sprint website, but I had problems with the display and kept sending it back. I tried other Samsung phones, but I still didn't like them, and they are not available for the networks that I use, so I wasn't able to switch.
Then, I got an LG G2 that I bought from Costco, but I couldn't use the Sprint network on it.
Is Thunder VPN Anonymous?
No, but its new app offers some privacy features that make it easier to get work done.
On Thursday, Amazon announced a major upgrade to the popular Thunder VPN app for iOS. It's the first update to the app since its January debut. The changes mostly affect how Thunder works with iOS 11.
Thunder is a free VPN app with many of the features of paid apps, like security and encryption. It also offers a kill switch to make sure your connection stays secure if you leave or are interrupted. (The Zero version is also available for Android.)
But there are also a number of features not found in other VPN apps, like an address bar on the mobile website to quickly look up your IP address, or an encrypted browsing window where you can open other apps as if you were on your desktop. If you want these kinds of features, you might prefer one of the other free VPNs we listed earlier.
How does it work? Thunder is one of a few zero-configuration apps. That means that you only need to download a few pieces of software, instead of needing to enter all kinds of settings. In the case of the Zero version, there's no app at all, but it installs itself automatically on the first time you use it.
To download and use a free version of Thunder, you need a valid Amazon account, which requires an email address and a password. You can also buy an Amazon gift card if you want to.
You're prompted to either install or launch an existing app after you complete your purchase, so there isn't much of an activation process, but you have to be comfortable giving Amazon access to your browser and email. The whole process is very simple.
Thunder runs in the background and uses your data as long as you stay connected to the internet, including streaming shows and movies, or reading online news.
