I am curious how to track a family member on Google maps?

I have a father who lives out of state, and I need to help him find me, my brother, and some friends. We all are out of town now. They only want to be contacted if something is bad. But even that is hard, so how can I do this on Google maps, and only contact him if there is a problem?

Here is how I tracked my dad on the Google maps. I had him geocode his address, and it worked very well, as long as he doesn't move far away from his address. There is also a "find a place" tool if you type in your city and state, but that doesn't work if he does not have an address or it does not match his address with the street number/address, as shown below. He didn't have a name when I found him.

I found him using his email address for "last name". So the email address for "first name" did not show any results. His email address does not change.

Is there a fix for this? Or is it too late for me to help him right now, as he has found some work, and might be busy? Thank you for helping! I appreciate it. And please help my brother and friends too, if you have time :) You can also find your mom if you just click the link by searching for "moms google maps", without any of the other things I added. It will show her in a map on Google's own website, so this way you can see exactly where she is. She works remotely for companies from New York to San Francisco so she could be in more than one spot at a time. If you don't really need to get in touch with her that badly then it's better to simply contact a friend than a distant relation. Your friends and family are closest to you so they are least likely to forget and ignore you while on a long-distance trip.

That's quite difficult for them to give consent if you already have an active account (which means that you'd set your address or search history). You have to make sure to be a new user since Google won't know you're actually you, the only thing you have to put in your email would be the first and last name, not the rest.
