Is solo VPN available in iOS?
This is a fairly recent feature that I think Apple introduced in iOS 7.

The issue here is that Apple provides an app called "Virtual Private Network" as a free download that has a number of issues. First, when you first launch the app, the "connecting" status bar icon stays at 100% forever. I believe this is a bug because it is supposed to be an instant connection.
Second, the icon for the connection itself is not a nice looking image. It looks like an old Windows dial-up modem.
Third, it does not work. If you want a VPN, download something like Hamachi.e. It is easy to setup and use.
