How to reset iPhone 6s if you forgot password without computer?

What to do if I forgot my iPhone passcode without restoring?

So, my iPhone 4 got bricked last week.

It was the wrong side of a battery door accident and after two days of being able to use the phone with no problems I realized that the phone was not responding when I tried to unlock it. I don't have any backups for it so I can't just restore to fix it.

It's an iPhone 4s. What should I do? I'm on Android at the moment but it looks like an iPhone 4 will get it back to a usable state.

From another iOS device, turn off the iPhone and then reboot it with a 9V battery. This will reset the device back to factory default. After this you can either try re-setting your password or restoring your backup to the device.

You can either reset your passwords here, or just call the Apple Customer Care. For them to reset your password, all you need to do is to answer "1234567890" by hitting the "1" button and "ABCDEFGHJKLMNOPQRSTUVXYZ" by hitting the "2" button. They'll probably charge you for the service call, but if you ask nicely they might be able to reset your password to your current one.

Is there a default passcode for iPhone 6?

I just bought a new iPhone 6 and set up the passcode.

The guy at the Apple store told me that it's "just as good as if not better than" the old passcode, which is 4 digits. I tried to enter the same 4 digit passcode that I entered before, but it didn't work.

If not, how can I figure out what it is? Thanks! There is no default passcode for an iPhone 6. You need to set one yourself. This is the only way to verify that you are using the right code.

You may be able to guess it by looking at other passcodes that you have used on your iPhone or iPod Touch. But even if you get it right, it may not be the best password. It's like saying the default password for your house is the same as the password for your bank account.

There's no way to verify the password you choose for your iPhone, because no-one is going to go through the trouble of entering the wrong code a few times to see if you get it right. If you are worried about someone stealing your phone, why not just disable the passcode?
