How can I get a free hotspot for free?
I need some kind of free hotspot service that allows me to use my own phone or my own computer.
00 a month. Can you recommend any of these services, or any other way to accomplish this? Please don't post a link for any one of these services, I don't have the time to go through all of them and figure out which is best. I just need something that will work for me, the best one you know of.
Comments. Have you looked at T-Mobile's Family Share plan? I think that it is cheaper than the 12.99 a month you are quoted. T-Mobile's website says:
What is Family Share? Family Share lets you share your data, minutes and text messaging with up to 4 mobile devices. No more worrying about running out of data or roaming charges. Instead, enjoy unlimited data, text and talk with up to 4 mobile devices one line.
How much data can I get with Family Share? Unlimited data one line includes unlimited data, text and talk one line on up to four mobile devices. What devices can I use with Family Share? Family Share is compatible with Android devices, iPhones, BlackBerrys, Palm Treo's and many other devices. You can even use Family Share on computers and game consoles.
I really like the "share" feature. That would be good if you were willing to share with someone you didn't know. Otherwise, why bother sharing anything? That's like giving a homeless person a bag of money and telling them they can go to the bank and withdraw all the money they want, but only use it for food. He can't eat food with it so he just sits there and spends it. It's a joke. So, maybe you could offer a small sum of money and limit it to sharing with friends or family, but then what do you get for the price of the extra service?
The service is called Family Share. Here's the thing. If you have 2 or more lines of service, you get the service for 3 lines of service.
How long does the T-Mobile free hotspot last?
T-Mobile's free WiFi (also known as the 'HotSpot by T-Mobile') service allows you to get up to five devices connected at one time (with a limit of 10 devices per account). The service is free for the first 100 MB of data usage and is unlimited after that.
Can I tether or use my phone in a different way while using T-Mobile's free WiFi? Yes, T-Mobile's free WiFi is unlimited. You can connect any device to the WiFi network and use it as long as you're connected. Your phone can be used for phone calls, texting and web browsing, just like you would when you are at home or using a Wi-Fi connection from another carrier.
If you use up your data and have not subscribed to a monthly plan, you will be automatically billed for the unused data amount at the end of each billing cycle (every 28 days). If you would rather avoid that, you can turn off auto-pay and change it to manual. You will then receive an email every month to alert you of the charges.
You can manage your data usage here on our website. How do I know if I'm close to the 100MB data limit? You'll be charged for any data you use above the 100MB data limit even if you're already near that amount. However, there is a grace period where if you use less than 25MB in a 24 hour period, you won't be charged for the remaining 25MB (this is an optional benefit for T-Mobile's free WiFi customers). To check how much data you've used since you last logged in to the service, visit the My Account section of the website and click my usage.
Why are there so many different options for payment? T-Mobile's free WiFi is available in over 40,000 public places across the US. We want to make sure that you have a simple way to pay for the service so we can keep it free for everyone. To get started, choose Pay as you go. This is what you need to use to purchase your subscription. Then, from the Payments section of the website, you can choose which payment option best fits your lifestyle.
Is T-Mobile student hotspot free?
Does T-Mobile Student Hotspot work for free?
I have the Samsung Galaxy S3. I was looking at the features but the "free student hotspot" feature is not there. Should it be there or did they drop that? Can you give me more info on it. Thanks
Read other comments. There are a lot of posts about this problem. This link has been created by someone with a similar problem as mine.
He has a Samsung and I have a Tmobile Note II. He is having the exact same problem as me. I can't log on to TMobileStudent Hotspot and my friend can't either. Is this just a bug in the Android OS for Tmobile Student Hotspot? We both had this phone and got it from T-Mobile last month.
I would try to reset your device using the following steps: Go into Settings. Go to the Applications Tab. Select Manage Applications. Select the application that you want to delete. Click Delete. Select Yes to confirm the delete. Wait until you get a prompt to go back to the main screen. Reboot your device. Now try the app again and hopefully it should work. If this doesn't help you, I can help you find the answer to the question. Please send me a PM or reply to this post and let me know what the issue is and I'll get to it ASAP.
I am using a Galaxy S4 on T-Mobile. The "free student hotspot" feature is not available and I am having the same problem. Is this the only device that won't have this feature? Is there a bug in the T-Mobile Student Hotspot App?
I have an Android S3 with the latest updates. The "Free Student Hotspot" is not available for me to use. Any suggestions?
You can access the Wi-Fi settings if you don't have the Student Hotspot feature. Here's what you can do: Open Wi-Fi settings and turn on Wi-Fi.e. Go to Advanced and turn off your Wi-Fi name. If you can't access any Wi-Fi hotspots, turn on the Wi-Fi that's named T-Mobile Wi-Fi.
