You have a pretty capable system there. You might consider installing Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and check out ChromeOS.

I've used SurfShark on a couple machines (an older Dell laptop and a brand new Acer laptop) and it's always been pretty good. I particularly like the built-in youtube player. It's basically YouTube's "official" browser, so it may be a bit of a better choice if you're looking for a solid YouTube experience. I never had any issues with it in any of my testing, so I would definitely recommend it.
