How do you trick location on YouTube TV?
By YouTube TV on August 27, 2024.
What you need to know. Location-based programming is great on a wide array of devices especially if your family has a bunch of different screens scattered about the house. But when it comes to watching your local channels, things can get a little complicated unless you've got a few tricks up your sleeve.
Forget what you think you know and read on to find out the true way to get the right channels on your TV. How to set up your system. Start by signing into your YouTube TV account online or through the app (and then authenticate). Tap on the Live Channels icon (the "TV" icon) in the top left corner of your main screen. At this point, you're still in the process of selecting channels for your account. To jump directly to selecting channels for your primary TV, swipe down on the Live Channels screen until you see the bottom row of channels for the TV. If you want to add another screen later, we recommend doing that after you're done setting up your TV.
If you only want to add one TV to your account, you can start here. Add one TV to your account. Select the TV you want to add to your account, and scroll down on the Live Channels screen until you see the TV's channels on the bottom row of the list. Scroll all the way down and select a channel from the "All available channels" menu at the bottom of the screen. That's it! You've selected a new channel for the TV. The TV has no other channels in its selection right now, but the channels are actually added to it from this point forward. You can add more TVs at any time by selecting "Add a new TV" on the Live Channels screen or from the app's menu (you'll be asked for your primary and secondary TV passcodes at this point, if you haven't already set them up). If you've got multiple TVs in the same house, it's a good idea to add each TV's channels to a separate account so each TV sees only channels from that account and not the other ones. Adding a second TV. If you've got multiple TVs in the same house, you can use the same method as above to add each TV to a different account.
How to bypass YouTube TV VPN detection?
You may have been using YouTube TV, or another VoD service for a long time, but you may have noticed that Google seems to be detecting all the VPN and Proxy services you use to access YouTube TV.
While this is not an issue on their side, it is an important one on your side as they are tracking and blocking the proxies and VPNs on the Google Play Store. It's really important, not only that you can bypass the VPN detection on YouTube TV, but also that your ISP, the Netflix and others, and others don't track them out from using one of these options.
The VPN detection has many negative side effects: You won't be able to see other people using these VPNs and proxies to be able to access the content from your provider. Your traffic will be censored. If you were using a proxy to be able to bypass the VPN detection, Google will now block you for having violated the program's terms and conditions. You are not allowed to access any of your favorite websites anymore. While trying to find a solution was easier than a person who wants to hide what he/she is doing, we are here to give you a way to bypass the detection, without having to create a VPN, without paying for a subscription, and without even turning off VPN and proxies on your device. You can still access all your data and watch your favorite shows.
What is YouTube TV VPN Detection? Google uses different ways to identify the traffic they're receiving from those who are using different methods to circumvent the detection of VPNs and proxies. One way that Google uses is a unique fingerprinting technique, and the other way that they employ is by asking third parties to provide information.
If you want to hide the fact that you are accessing YouTube TV or any other video streaming service via a different IP address, using a VPN is definitely the best option because: As you will notice, there is a huge difference between IP Addresses and Virtual Private Network Address. With VPN, you use them in order to gain anonymity, privacy and security to your browsing by hiding your IP address from sites and applications like YouTube, Netflix, etc. And since you are surfing the web from a new IP address, your browsing activity is not tracked by third parties. Your information goes through a secured connection, so you will be safe when you access the internet.

What is the best VPN to use with YouTube TV?
When I first discovered that one of my favorite TV shows would have its season premiere on a streaming TV platform called YouTube TV, I was super excited.
I quickly discovered that there's just one small downside to using YouTube TV - you can't use some VPN services when you stream live TV. So, it's either sit there doing nothing while I should be watching the show or use a VPN that will let me stream TV but then get dropped off with buffering.
To sum it up: the only way to watch live TV and watch Netflix with a free-IPVanish is through PC and Mac browsers, but this VPN service doesn't work in conjunction with YouTube TV. What is a VPN? A VPN is used by people who need to access secure sites, but the site being accessed can also block certain VPN networks from accessing the sites. In the case of YouTube TV (and Hulu), that means you're only able to log in on a specific browser. So, in order to get around this limitation and use the service on my Mac, PC, phone, and tablet, I had to set up an IP address using a third-party app.
How does this work? While using a VPN, your device is assigned an IP address from a different location so that the site you're trying to access sees your browser as coming from a different country and thus can't block you based on location. This is what makes YouTube TV work when used with a VPN on my PC, Mac, iPhone, or Android.
This has come to the attention of some people in recent years - when people are sharing links of videos, there's a risk that people outside the USA will use a VPN and think they're getting free access to the site. Instead, they end up paying for a subscription and, eventually, are blocked out and don't have access to the video or site any longer.
The upside of not being able to access the site is that you're unable to view ads, which means you save money, while the downside is you have to wait longer for the videos to load, causing a slower viewing experience. This is why Netflix recommends using a VPN, even if you live inside the USA, when you're looking to save on ad-based content.
