If an application does NOT have an icon of a trash can, are there other ways to uninstall it? The last time I got on a friends device, it had two applications installed. One of them was from the Chrome store and the other one from a software called Playlist. It doesn't have a trash can icon in it so I'm trying to figure out how to uninstall it.

When a software program is uninstalled, the icon in the notification area is deleted and the corresponding application's preferences are deleted from the list of browser preferences. This information is stored in the profile folder for the user; if the user logs out and changes their account or changes browsers, the changes will be deleted as well. When you uninstall a previously uninstalled app, the same procedure is followed with a slightly different outcome.
