Why is Google blocking access to an app?

I tried contacting Google Support but got nothing

I tried contacting Google Support but got nothing. This was going on for ages until I was able to get through. When I tried, I had to be so specific with my questions that it was impossible for them to not only solve the problem, but for them to actually have a good answer for why they were doing this. I was given no indication on how long or short term it was supposed to last. I was also given no indication of how to get these messages back. I'm having to wait for over two weeks before anyone from Google is willing to help with this and I want answers, but there are none. I have a bunch of other apps that just keep getting blocked. And yes, I did contact their support.

I'm not the only one, I see others reporting similar issues, but no one is being answered in any helpful way. Re: Why is Google blocking access to an app? Hi! We apologize for any inconveniences that may result from your recent removal request. These actions are temporarily applied due to a system error that we are working to correct as soon as possible. We are unable to provide further information until that occurs.

However, your Google Play account will continue to work as normal while this issue is resolved.

How do you fix this app has been blocked?

You might need to add non-US proxy server option.

If you're facing this problem, try the solution listed on the fix app has been blocked page.

Why does Amazon App Store keep prompting me to choose a proxy? This can be caused by some network settings which need to be reconfigured on your device. Try changing network settings in the phone settings. Also, try clearing the cache and data of the device. But if that doesn't work, try the following solutions:

Add your country to the allowed countries. Uninstall and re-install the app. Update and reload your network settings. Reboot the device. What is the difference between the free version and the paid version? The free version provides limited functionality which is enough to test the app on your devices without providing any access to your Amazon credit card. The paid version is capable of storing credit card information for future purchases. It also lets you create profiles and enable shopping through your phone.

How do I get the price reduced for my existing subscription? You can contact the support team at Amazon Customer Care for the same. The app may be eligible for price reduction.

How do you get around this app is blocked?

I was downloading an app and I think it was the last 20 MB.

The download stopped but the app is still downloading. How can I force the app to close?
I tried adb logcat -f -s 7C30000 and I get a lot of this: 10-15 10:29:48.921 5668-5830/? E/InputDispatcher: channel '8c1ebd28 com.google.android.apps.maps/com.MapActivity (server)' ~ Channel is unrecoverably broken and will be disposed!
If you want to stop an app running in the background, check out this page in the docs. Specifically, the following would force it to quit (and close the download): killProcess("yourpackagename.

How do I allow blocked apps on Android?

A few months ago, I began looking at some ways to make my phone a bit more secure. This article by the Electronic Frontier Foundation gave me some good guidelines for basic password management. This article by PC World reminded me that security is not just about password managers; it's about making sure that apps don't have any way to bypass security settings and access your data. And to be truly secure, you'll need to make sure that apps cannot access these features or bypass them even if you're not using them.

The last of the security issues is something that is very easy to fix. When you download an app, Android asks whether you want to "allow" or "block" the app's access to those features. Once the app has been installed, it will not be able to use those features, even if you aren't actively using the app.

You can see exactly what permissions an app has from the "Permissions" section of the Play Store. However, you may have to go into Settings to modify your device's other privacy settings. To do that, simply open the "Security" section of the Settings app and select "Privacy". There you will find a subsection called "Location Services". By default, this section is set to "Ask before sharing location", which means that apps can't share your location without your permission. You can also set this to "Never", which disables all location-related features, or you can set it to "Always", which enables everything but your location history.

It's much more useful to limit the permissions than to have them completely disabled because most apps won't function without some sort of access to your location or your network connections. If you do set "Ask before sharing location", you'll find that your location data is being shared, but only if there is a service request (think of a map in the middle of your screen). And even then, it is only being shared with the Google Maps app. So unless you're worried that someone will hack your map, you really don't need to worry about this.

I've now found that I only need to set one setting to make the Play Store much safer. "Block apps with this permission", as the option is called, is set to "Never". Apps won't be able to request any of those permissions, even if you aren't actively using the app.
